Agree with all points except 'had to resort', they didn't, they could have made the conscious choice to reintegrate him (perhaps just temporarily) while they focused on upgrading other areas of the squad. Being put in a bomb squad doesn't always end up being a death sentence for a club career, as Alan Hutton can attest. I understand why they're making the choice to play Nicholas Jackson instead of Lukaku, but it *is* a choice (the club's, not Maresca's). 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
