Maresca has come out and said that they are looking to sign a number 9 before the window closes.

It'll be £60m now Enzo if you want Duran.

What’s his issue with Lukaku?

It's not about him. The club wants rid of him (too old, wages too high, doesn't fit) so he isn't available for consideration.

He's no good. He's just about serviceable in serie A, a Belgian sacmacca.

He is Chelsea best striker by a huge distance and has over 100 Premier League goals

Scamacca😂

Oshimen will probably happen given they're selling Lukaku to Napoli.

He was the last major signing under Abramovich so think that's a big reason why he hasn't been re-integrated.

Tuchel also got to take some of the blame. Wanted him back, played him for a few months then left him out and then there was a fallout and he didn't play much so value dropped significantly and they've had to resort to loaning him out last two seasons.

Agree with all points except 'had to resort', they didn't, they could have made the conscious choice to reintegrate him (perhaps just temporarily) while they focused on upgrading other areas of the squad. Being put in a bomb squad doesn't always end up being a death sentence for a club career, as Alan Hutton can attest. I understand why they're making the choice to play Nicholas Jackson instead of Lukaku, but it *is* a choice (the club's, not Maresca's).

I have a gut feeling these guys are working on a master plan, not sure what it is or how it is going to end…

It wouldn’t surprise me if things work out well for them over 3-5 years…

the change in model almost seems like they’ve spotted an opportunity no other has..

Madueke is a good player, but seems like an absolute helmet. Very childish.
