For Maresca it makes sense to have a long contract, because when he gets sacked in October, he needs the large payout until he can secure a new job. Poch would have no problem securing a new job, so he can live with a shorter contract and a smaller payout. One of their favourite clubs are probably upset that they are broadcasting the fact the might need to make desperate sales in order to comply with PSR. What a time to be alive. Chelsea are selling aswell...hotels and training grounds. But to be fair, they have more valuable surplus players to sell like Maatsen for example they could shift easily.
