Zatman
a headline I dont think anybody expected and not sure why its only released now Quote Dean Gaffney run over by Chelsea star on night out The actor suffered a broken collar-bone EastEnders icon Dean Gaffney was injured on a night out after he was run over by Chelsea footballer Wesley Fofana. The actor was “catapulted” into the air after he was struck by the £70m defender’s Lamborghini, and suffered a broken collar bone. The incident took place in December 2022, but Gaffney had never spoken about it because it was “not anybody’s fault”, a source told the Sun. French international Fofana passed a breathalyser test at the scene on the King’s Road in Chelsea, and was allowed on his way after he was deemed not to be at fault for the accident. Meanwhile, Gaffney was treated in hospital before being allowed home. It was only later on that the 45-year-old soap star found out the driver’s identity. Fofana was also reportedly unaware of Gaffney’s identity as well. https://www.joe.co.uk/news/dean-gaffney-run-over-by-chelsea-star-on-night-out-418745

It's not like they are struggling without him. Guardiola has referenced him a couple of times this season when talking about Oscar Bobb, saying that Palmer wanted to leave for first team football, something he wasn't going to get at Manchester City this season. The fact that they got a high price (£40m) for the transfer probably means they won't lose too much sleep over it, that's the absolute most they'd get for someone who was a squad player with a ton of potential. VillaJ100
Will be really tough at the weekend. Of course they start getting it all together just before we play them. You have to hope though no matter how good he is we can exploit a 41 year old CB

Yeah but Silva will be gone in the summer (most likely) and Grealish looks like he's on the decline. Palmer would have been a zero cost, CL home grown eligible replacement for the next 5+years. Terrible move to sell him.

City won't care, they took the Palmer and Mahrez money and bought Doku, they already have Grealish and Alvarez, there's every danger Bobb might be half decent and they've just signed a star argie u17 player for next year They'll be ok

We'd have given league cup a go without europe but ultimately it just got sacrificed, one of those things. Chelsea don't half get easy draws most seasons in these cup competitions. Endless home ties in FA cup most seasons and their run in this was home to AFC Wimbledon-Brighton-Blackburn-Newcastle. The only time they've been outside of London for the league cup this season was Boro away. Can't believe Potter's luck really. Was only there six months and in his only two cup matches for Chelsea they drew Man. City away TWICE.
