KHV
Reading have just won 3-1 which means they only need 1 point for automatic promotion. Will Aston Villa v Reading be a premiership fixture next season? Last time we played Reading was a 4-2 win en route to a Wembley FA Cup Semi Final. It seems so long ago now but only just over 2 years. How far we have fallen in such a short space of time! that was a belter of a game. one of the best villa comebacks. big john carew I nearly broke my leg jumping over seats. I wish we were that exciting now. despite what people say about MON I did enjoy his spell in charge I can't agree with you on the MON thing because I thought he was very one dimensional, arrogant and stubborn but I do agree that compared to now the games were more interesting to watch. there were some belting games under his reign though like this one. 4-4 with spurs and chelsea, winning at the theatre of c*nts, winning at the emirates, 5-1 against blues and the 6-4 blackburn semi was epic. we were not as shit to watch as some people like to make out under MON. This is not a MON love in post by the way, just saying there was some good stuff. If you compare it to McLeish's drivel the football is miles apart. It was direct and kick and rush under MON at times but at least we had a bloody go at teams and my arse managed to leave my seat in excitement from time to time. The way we play now we deserve to go down, I have seen better football at the bescott this season

Brumstopdogs
Was in with the Reading fans getting half time refreshments - by the time we got back to our seats it was 2-2! Great game - back in the days when we attacked teams, even elite ones.
KHV
5-1 against bluesMcLeish's best performance in the Villa dugout. I was in the trinity that day, I remember singing "sit down you ginger clearing in the woods" every time he got out of the dugout. I find myself singing the same song this year too

KjParton
I loved that game - laying into the Reading fans after they were taking the piss at 2-0 brilliant :'( those were the days :'(Haha, I remember. I was literally right next to them. They were pretty smug at half-time. The look on their faces when we pulled it back was gold. Anyone remember this guy? We must have been sat close to each other - i think i remember that guy. At 2-3 i thought the Reading fans we're going to cry. At 2-4 they couldn't look at us :'( brilliant

AVFC-Prideofbrum
Shit, another year of sulky arse Warnock and his wandering ways. Can we pay a transfer fee to someone to take him off our hands, Burscough Town maybe? Don't dis Burscough, great club with fine taste in recruiting superb talents. R.Bear
We really need Swansea to do us a favour today and do Blackburn. With Wolves down, it will be a 7 point gap (8 with goal difference) over them which they wont make in 4 games. So essentially if Swansea win today there is only one relegation spot left. It's desperate but we are in a desperate position.
