troon_villan
Does it piss anyone else off the way Keegan Bradley sets up before every shot? Yes! Can't take to him at all.
CI
Well, it's been a bit dull so far, Woods plotting his way around safely taking iron off the tee, English lads generally not doing well at all

blandy Posted July 21, 2012 Moderator Share Posted July 21, 2012 Been down to have a look at all the people. They all seem to be enjoying themselves, and there's a few enterprising householders who are no doubt making a few quid accommodating TV crews and cameras I'm not really a golf fan, and I'm definitely not paying 70 quid to go in, but it's nice to see all these world stars in our small town. wiggyrichard
Well i thought that was a brilliant major. Just showed how when the wind gets up its a completely different course all together. Anyway, played to 12 the weekend which was 4 under net. Chuffed, but pissed off because i left so many shots out there, should have been single figures no problem. 3 putted 5 greens and my worst score was a bogey. Dammit i wish i could put! CI
Rory McIlroy has earned around £10m over the last 8 weeks Wow, not bad for a 23 year old !!
Milfner
Can't believe this thread hasn't been bumped for the Ryder Cup. 10-6 to the Yanks into the final day, gotta win the singles 8-4 tomorrow to retain, looking very unlikely, the Americans have been head and shoulders above us for the most part. Special mention for Ian Poulter, he has carried the whole side with him, been sensational.
KHV
Ian Poulter = Ryder Cup Legend 5 birdies in a row to win the last match, at least he gave us some hope
Tomaszk
Pissed me off massively he didn't play twice the first day. He's a specialist and steps up in volatile atmospheres, it'd be 9-7 if he had. Colsearts so so unlucky today to be fair to him, three putts wiping their feet before hopping back out, and that one that skipped over the hole. We need to go out strong and I predict it'll be Poults and Rory first two out. Thing is, they can keep the guys who have been flying like Mickelson, Bradley, Bubba and Simpson for the end when our weaker players are heading out. Not a chance of us winning it, guessing 17.5 - 10.5, Poults to beat Furyk 3&2 first out.
CI
Any truth in the rumour Ollie ripped into them Friday night ? Seems out of character but whatever he said hasn't worked. Some poor team selections for me, why is Garcia there ? That pairing of Hanson & Lawrie on day 1 was very weak and I'd have had Harrington there without question. JMilnereatsnails
The 3 you mention, Garcia, Hanson & Lawrie are all there on merit. For Harrington to be there would have left either Colsaerts or Poulter at home. I know who I would rather have there. I'm not sure you know what you are talking about. CI
When did Garcia last win a big tournament ? Harrington is a big game player. I'm not sure you have a clue.
snowychap
Some poor team selections for me, why is Garcia there ? Because he qualified to play in the team. Olly's picks were Colsaerts and Poulter. Which one of those two would you have not selected? I'd echo the earlier questioning of why Poults didn't play all four sessions and then why Hanson sat out all of yesterday and Westwood played three of the sessions but, other than those points, I'm not sure what Olly could have done differently. Not enough credit is being given to the US team in my view; they've been exceptionally good (even Woods who has played some of the worst shots of anybody over the first two days has come back in 31 and 30 in each of the fourballs).
