Guest av1
Still doesn't look good enough for me. We need better. Long term yes I agree John. But imo,at this moment in time, he is the best option the club has in that wide right position.
PaulC
He's ok as a squad player.
Cliffy Biro
Did more in 20 minutes than wiemann did all game.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Did alright. Good impact player. Needs to find his shooting boots.
myko
Shame about him missing that one on one because Lambert probably won't play him next game, Offers way more than Weimann IMO.
R.Bear
Poor today. That cut back where he didnt shoot or pass or anything was bad but the miss could have cost us 3 points. Worse, we looked like Barcelona in the build-up and he spoiled a great goal.
Jimzk5
As much as I like him and he has been half decent of late I think he will be released at the end of the season
AVTuco Posted January 1, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted January 1, 2014 (edited) Did more in 20 minutes than wiemann did all game. If it was Andi who didn't get that one shot off, or blundered that one-on-one, he would've been cruzified here. Albrighton is not a goal scorer, that's for sure. Other than that, ok sub. AstonMartin82
Had written this kid off a number of months ago. Pleasantly surprised with his mini-comeback. Can't see him being a Villa regular but a decent squad player and Villa through and through so hopefully he'll continue to play well enough to stay with us for many a year. VillaChris
Was fuming with him after that miss, if Sunderland had got an equaliser in the very generous 6 minutes injury time, I'd have told him to make his way back to brum..
markavfc40
That miss aside I thought he did well when he came on and was a very useful out let for us in the last 20 minutes.
Kwan
PL looked visibly sick when Marc missed. Glad it didn't come back to bite us
VillaChris
I can forgive players who miss easy chances when the ball is flying in at great speed from a cross or when the ball is in the air but a one-on-one allows you time to control the ball and compose yourself. To not even get it on target is unforgivable and as someone said it was actually at the end of a great passing move from us. Very lucky boy Sunderland are bobbins. Matt1874
Did more in 20 minutes than wiemann did all game. This. The replay showed the ball bobble up before that shot he skied. Would have him in over Weimann all day long.
PaulC
Yes it was poor composure and if Sunderland have of scored we'd all be talking about that miss! We have to be more clinical, put the game to bed . Edited January 1, 2014 by PaulC
abdomlahor
I loved the way he breezed past their left back right at the end to set up Delph for the shot he blazed over. Looks confident again. Keep him in, he's offering much more than Andi atm.
PaulC
He had loads of space late on. I'd still have Weimann over him myself.
Avfc96
He had loads of space late on. I'd still have Weimann over him myself. Why? Albrighton has offered more since he has been back than Weimann has all season. Albrighton should start over Weimann in the league IMO.

Albrighton is what he is, but he won't score any goals, I think today confirmed that. He is what he has shown already, whereas Andi can be something more. Especially if Benteke turns the corner.
