Guus
So the sad, and seemingly difficult lesson for us to note is..... Nobody in Asia, the Middle East, Antartica or anywhere else gives a **** about Aston Villa. (apart from the collection of global miss fits and perverts that grace Villa Talk of course - and FWIW I love each and everyone of you.) Beautifully put. It seems we have had our fair share of difficult lessons over the last 2 seasons.

briggaman
I lived abroad for most of my life up until 2004 and only saw a Villa top in a shop once. That was in Northern Ireland. Never saw any in Italy or Germany, yet many people commented on my Villa tops. Hopefully Macron will put some serious effort into our kits and marketing. Sureshot
I have seen a bunch of Villa tops in one place here, but that place is a massive football specialist store that stocks a plethora of unique shirts. Other than that, I think the only other place I've seen a Villa shirt on sale abroad was in Dublin airport.
Wainy316
I've lived in Kent for 20 years now and NEVER seen a Villa kit made by any manufacturer in ANY sport shop, Nike or otherwise.Same here. What annoys me though is that I've often seen Newcastle shirts down here! In fact, I've known a fair few people who support Newcastle down here. Why are they so popular? Starting liking football in 96 perhaps? How about in the south west, because I know we have quite a few supporters down there. Do we have any posters from that neck of the woods? TRS-T
Apparently you can't even buy a Birmingham City shop in Sports World in Birmingham :| Is this what will happen to us when we get Macron?

Mantis
Why would a Villa fan care about the availability of SHA shirts anyway?
Boskos Angel
Must say I think Macron shirts are nice, it doesnt really make a difference who makes them tbh. Were no bigger now than to when we had reebok, diadora and nike are crap tbh. If I could choose would be Adidas/Umbro but heyhey.
villaajax
Here in Oxfordshire, I think I've only seen the 2007/08 away shirt for sale and before that was the 1997/98 home.
bred
I tend to visit nike stores both here in Las Vegas and in California a lot and I have yet to find a single AVFC product. I have found plenty of FC Porto though. Could be less bothered with this move. Nike never cared for us.
deeps
London Nike town have both our kits and N98 jackets. Sports direct Sell Both kits. Soccer scene also. Lillywhites also. Only seen Leeds and Sheff Uniteds kits in soccer scene. None in sports direct. I'd be suprised if we are limited to just our 2 shops. In 2008/2009 season our kits were in Latin America when I was there in the Nike stores. Seen this seasons in Italy too.
Ginko
Well, I guess unless we start playing some better football and winning more games next season then it won't matter how many Villa shirts Macron get into shops around the world. If you lived in a foreign country, watched the Premier League and had no ties to a particular team through family or otherwise, based on the last couple of seasons would you choose to buy a villa shirt and support us? I don't think I would.

ThunderPower_14
There have been Villa shirts fairly regularly on sale in Australia over the past decade until the last couple of seasons, where I can't remember seeing one. I bought the first two Nike home shirts we had off the shelf from a sports store in Adelaide.
