savosleftboot
Anyone have an idea what he's on per week? He's a good squad player but if he wasn't 1st choice under MON, Houllier or McLeish and he's on a big salary then can understand letting him go. VillaChris
I'll miss Carlos. Best defender at the club.
CrackpotForeigner
Not offering Carlos a new (improved if need be) contract is simply insane.
dudevillaisnice
Another fine example of management at Villa Park, letting your best defender go on a free transfer.
rbcuk
He's just put this on his facebook.... Very happy because, after my last match at Villa Park, the team will stay one more year where it has to be. Thank you all for your support both in the good and the bad moments through all these years!

jonno_2004
I wonder if Cuellar would give me one of his boots as a parting gift. I could then proceed to kick Paul Faulkner in the gonads and then stomp on his face.

briggaman
Another one of our better players departing. We're falling apart...
timbaughan
More likely that Mcleish is staying then? Surely if a new man is coming in he should be given a chance to decide who he wants to keep!
kkr
A decent player who will be missed but we could find better for cheaper wages imo.
thejoker
I like Cuellar, he seems like a decent bloke, but why does everyone rate him so highly? He's ok, but he really isn't that good...
The_Steve
Decent defender but very error prone at times. The story of our defence it seems. He would have gone back to Rangers had it not been for his injury.

nobler
I feel quite sad by this. Although there will always be debate on his ability, I don't think any of us can criticise his desire to play for this club. I don't think he's ever let anyone down and really, he's been here for about 4 years and never really given that long run of games in centre defence to establish it as his own. Shame really, top man and I wish him all the best, wherever he goes.
