dudevillaisnice
I've got the PC version and it's brilliant, isn't a cheap console port at all; far from it infact.
legov
I wonder what my father would think if he saw me whacking nudes with purple dildos on my computer
Nath182
It's £17.99 on Play today only btw. Can't believe it's been this cheap. Why can't they have offers like this on every game??
legov
How good is Saints Row 2*? My local shop is selling it at a decent price and I'm waiting for the price of SR3 to drop before I buy it or give it a shot. *Edit: PC version
The_Rev
Played the first hour. Laughed out loud at least a dozen times.
Chindie Posted December 30, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted December 30, 2011 Painfully obvious it's going to be Giantbombs game of the year.
Designer1 Posted December 30, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted December 30, 2011 Loved every second of it. Didn't quite reach the heights of SR2 but still absolutely top drawer entertainment.
Chindie Posted December 31, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted December 31, 2011  GB didn't appear to give it GOTY - went to Elder Scrolls instead. I'm willing to bet it was a bloody close call for them though.

The_Rev
Now that's what I call a gun! (It's the Land Shark from old Xbox game Armed & Dangerous)
PaulMcGrath_5
I've just started playing this (up to Mission 5) having not played any of the previous Saints Row games. It's not to be taken seriously because it is pretty silly, hugely entertaining though.

PaulMcGrath_5
I might have to trade this one in.. The novelty wears off really quick to be honest.
The_Rev
Reservoir dogs reference, while dressed as a wolf. Genius. And a "car chase" which made me laugh out loud. Thumbnail is deliberately small in case you dont want to see the gag.
Rino8 Posted January 15, 2012 Visiting Supporter Share Posted January 15, 2012 And a "car chase" which made me laugh out loud. Thumbnail is deliberately small in case you dont want to see the gag. I did the exact same mission on co-op a few nights ago, got a laugh thinking 'what the **** is this?' . This game is insane, hardly any of the missions seem logical, everything is completely overpowered but that's fine, it's pretty much what makes the game great. Laivasse
I'm more or less at the end of the game but for a mission or two (I'm guessing). I did the Killbane showdown mission a while back and thought it was hilarious. Possibly the most inappropriate use of inspirational 80's movie music imaginable. It's huge fun but personally I think I'm more a GTA kind of guy. I simply can't get used to the arcadey, stop-on-a-dime vehicle physics of SR and I much prefer the character depth in GTA. Having said that, GTA's environments feel sparse and sterile compared to the vibrancy of Steelport. Rockstar could learn a thing or two from THQ in this regard for GTA 5. The_Rev
This game just lends itself to great screenshots: Co op rampage at the airport. Trying to clear a path to the military jet place (in the background) 8) Found where the helicopter spawns. Stole it. I am pretty sure the radio was tuned to play this when you first take off on purpose.
CastleBromVilla
I might have to trade this one in.. The novelty wears off really quick to be honest. I've made it to mission 45 of 47, and i'm bored now. It's a good game, but GTA is still the better of the two.

It's a good game, but GTA is still the better of the two. I played this and never really got into it at all, just wasn't as fun or as funny as I was expecting. Maybe its because i never played the other games.
