Corcaigh
Decent result last night considering no Wilson or Dunne in defence. Great support as well, no doubt the crowd for the Georgia game on Sunday will be as numerous and vociferous
CI
So Dunne is miraculously fit now the season is over. What a surprise.
Corcaigh
No conspiracy CI, seeing as Trap & Tardelli have said he'll probably come on in the second half. Clearly he's still only making baby steps back to match fitness. packoman
Republic of Ireland: Forde, Coleman, O'Shea, St Ledger, Wilson, McGeady, Whelan, Hoolahan, Cox, Walters, Keane. Great to see Hoolahan getting a start. Would a draw be the best result in the Austria v Sweden game? Edited June 7, 2013 by packoman
Voinjama
Yes, with a Sweden win being the worst result.
AVFCforever1991
Republic of Ireland: Forde, Coleman, O'Shea, St Ledger, Wilson, McGeady, Whelan, Hoolahan, Cox, Walters, Keane. Great to see Hoolahan getting a start. Would a draw be the best result in the Austria v Sweden game? Surely you could put your reserves out and you would still get the win? Corcaigh
Yup all about that Austria Sweden game alright. Can't see the BIG fluking it for a second campaign in a row with fortunate results elsewhere always going our way. Voinjama
Irish fans are the best in the world, but this squad is not good enough. Not 1 of these players at their current level would get in the 2002 0r USA 94 teams.

Voinjama
Packoman how do you rate ROI's chances of going to Brazil next summer? A win is a win, performance doesn't matter too much.
packoman
We've still got a good chance of getting there. This game is against an awful team, and is a good chance to improve our goal difference. If results stay like this we'll be equal points with Austria but have a worse goal difference by 9, I think. So yes the result is the most important thing but we could easily get a better result with a better performance.
PaulC
Amazing record Robbie Keane. Now the 5th highest scorer in European history. Behind greats like Puskas and Muller!
Zatman
Its some record. All the better considering the players Puskas, Muller and even Klose played with. Keane has had partners like Gary Doherty, Niall Quinn, Simon Cox
