Czechlad
Stuart Holden will be starting in the center of the pitch for the first time in months. Holden may not have played a serious game in a while, but he still is a great midfielder when on his game.
bose
I like Holden but I'll be amazed if he does any harm to us given the amount of time he's been out for.
AValon
2-0. We need to get used to winning games. I like Bolton, but have a sneaky feeling we get past these we'll win the damn thing.
wiggyrichard
I'd like to see Ireland boss the game from start to finish.
blunther
I dread to think what the attendance will be. Will be surprised if over 20k.
jimbojames
Well tbf to the club they have priced this one accordingly. I would hope for closer to 30K.
Condimentalist
I'd give the bench warmers a run out for this one, the league is much more important. True, but given that we're likely to have a nondescript season and end up in mid-table anyway, I'd like us to have a real go in the cups. That said, I'd still make some changes tonight. Shillzz
Many of you guys going tonight? Despite being rather pissed off after the Newcastle game, I've decided to go to this one. There's something I absolutely love about Autumnal evening kick offs at Villa Park, plus I'll actually be able to get into the Holte suite for once. Woodytom
That makes 2 of us Shillzz. My Dad = 3. Wel have a good ol knees up Nah - I think theyl be a decent crowd. Main areas luk pretty full on find a seat thing on website
Shillzz
Haha, I'm dragging the old man up aswell, though the closure of the severn bridge is going to make it a bit of a long night, so they'd better turn in a performance! That's atleast 4 of us anyway.
villa_shere
at £5 a ticket we should be getting 30k attendance. My line up for tonight is Guzan Hutton Cuellar Dunne Warnock N'zog Bannan Gardner Delph Albrighton Gabby
Shillzz
Dont think Cuellar will be ready. Infact, I think he's already been sold to Rangers and we'll be lucky to see him in a Villa shirt again. Otherwise, agree with that line up. wiggyrichard
ireland has to start tonight in my opinion. Yep, anyone else get the feeling that McLeish is teasing him a little? I mean just drip feeding him Premier League minutes until he is really ready to burst, then hopefully he will be back to what we know he can be? Shillzz
I think he's ready to go personally. Showed more in 20 minutes against Newcastle than Delph has been able to do in the last 2 games.
wiggyrichard
Decent cameo's against both Newcastle & Everton. Delph has lost a bit of form and maybe needs a rest.
darrenm
I'm taking the lad tonight and sitting on the front row of the Trinity near the Holte. Judging by the select-a-seat there should be getting on for 30k there. We normally batter these at VP because they always defend far too high and we get in behind. Hope for the same tonight. I reckon it'll be a strong team as McLeish will want to win the League cup.
Tomo
Hope Ireland starts, if he can consistently play well he'll be a big difference to our team so the sooner that happens, the better.
Rob182
I'm gutted I can't go tonight. Band practice 7-11! I'll be checking the scores between songs though!!! I'd play... --------------- Guzan --------------- Hutton -- Collins - Dunne --- Clark ---------- Ireland - Delph --------- Albrighton --- Bannan --- N'Zogbia ---------------- Gabby -------------- A strong team, giving Ireland, Bannan, Marc and Clark a run out. Resting Bent, Petrov & Warnock. Though the midfield looks weak defensively, Delph, Ireland and Bannan can hopefully pull the strings to ensure we score more than we let in! Like others, I'd really like to see Gardner get a run-out as well
