leviramsey Posted September 14, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted September 14, 2014 I'm being forced to watch the Giants while I wait to see how badly I'm going to be bent over and dutwu by these thieving mechanics. **** potholes.
Milfner
Greg Hardy has gone on voluntary leave until his trial in November. Will still pick up $770k a week. He should be still playing IMO, he hasn't been found guilty in his second trial. Pretty odd situation.

He should be still playing IMO, he hasn't been found guilty in his second trial. Pretty odd situation. The whole thing sets an awful, awful precedent. I have no desire to cheer for wife beaters or child abusers but there is absolutely no way they should be getting disciplined until convicted. If a team wants to release the player because of character concerns (e.g. the Aaron Hernandez case) then that's fine but this business of indefinite suspensions and forcing players into voluntary leave is pretty reprehensible. The NFL is going through a very bizarre period. A mix of being completely reactionary to the press and public opinion and having no bollocks to stand up for basic principles. Milfner
The Rice elevator video has done it for Hardy. No one was really bothered that Hardy played against Tampa in the opener. In North Carolina he's viewed as innocent - it really shouldn't stop him playing.
KennyPowers
I was thinking to myself how come the Jaguars and Raiders have been bad for so long. Jaguars, 6 years without a winning record: 2008 2008 NFL AFC South 4th 5 11 0 2009 2009 NFL AFC South 4th 7 9 0 2010 2010 NFL AFC South 2nd 8 8 0 2011 2011 NFL AFC South 3rd 5 11 0 2012 2012 NFL AFC South 4th 2 14 0 2013 2013 NFL AFC South 3rd 4 12 0 The Raiders though, wow, 11 years without a winning record. That takes some doing. 2003 2003 NFL AFC West 3rd 4 12 0 2004 2004 NFL AFC West 4th 5 11 0 2005 2005 NFL AFC West 4th 4 12 0 2006 2006 NFL AFC West 4th 2 14 0 2007 2007 NFL AFC West 4th 4 12 0 2008 2008 NFL AFC West 3rd 5 11 0 2009 2009 NFL AFC West 3rd 5 11 0 2010 2010 NFL AFC West 3rd 8 8 0 2011 2011 NFL AFC West 3rd 8 8 0 2012 2012 NFL AFC West 3rd 4 12 0 2013 2013 NFL AFC West 4th 4 12

kurtsimonw
Bill Simmons suspended by ESPN for 3 weeks for saying this on a podcast. Not his biggest fan and I don't see the need for the last paragraph, but otherwise it's spot on.

BerniesElbow
Seems like he was trying to instigate something, you know? Then he would say, "Yeah, I was just there cheering on my team when they scored and then all of the rude Browns fans started harassing me." I could definitely see that happening. He should consider himself lucky that he didnt get his teeth knocked out. You dont go to someone elses house and act like an asshole. kurtsimonw
So apparently Suh wants Jets or Giants. He's a lot of baggage to take on, but I'd still take him.
