BOF Posted May 17, 2017 Moderator Share Posted May 17, 2017 This post is probably something that this thread would be interested in as well. Journalist decides to photograph Formula 1 using 104 year old Graflex 4×5 view camera.
peterms
No great photographic merit, but after a pretty depressing few days of news, this Embra skyline slightly cheered me up.

Popular Post The_Rev
Still more from my summer: The new Assay office, Jewellery Quarter. Morning commuters arrive at Marylebone station, London. A family of ducks, Meriden. Sun setting over Lisson Grove, London. Offices at Snow Hill. Sun rising over the Vale. The dandelion fountain in Nuneaton. Voted as the nicest traffic island in all of England. Another fountain, this one is outside Wembley Arena. The Shard from the streets of Southwark. Southwark tube station. Little Venice, London. I could very happily live around here.

Looks a lot like Haarlem in Holland. If you ever go to Holland have a look at Haarlem, 15 mins on the train from Amsterdam and not like Amsterdam at all which is a good thing I think. The beach is another 2 stops and you are in Zandvoort. I took this on Sunday. I have only took a few photos before but this one came out OK I reckon. I guess not all the houses in Little Venice are £8m, but I kinda want one with a canal view and be neighbours with Noel Gallagher.

A little bit more than that mate, but I have found you 3, exactly in between Haarlem and the beach (2 miles or so each way so easy biking distance). I live 2 miles away also so what's not to like ? bickster Posted December 26, 2017 Moderator Share Posted December 26, 2017 Dropped off a customer by here as the sun was rising. Had to stop and take a photo (cost me a £30 job that would have taken me to within a 100m of work too)
Popular Post The_Rev
Pfft, it was worth it for that view. Fantastic stuff. It's been a while since I posted anything so here are a few I kinda like: Sun setting over the fields by my mum's house, it's basically the last place in Nuneaton, then there are about a dozen miles of green belt until you hit Coleshill. Sun rising at Stratford upon Avon railway station. A flip book with an animation of a plane taking off, Birmingham Art Gallery. 'Final Days' by Kaws, Regent's Park, London. It's bloody huge. Sun setting over Wembley, London. This was taken in October and that building site on the right is almost complete structurally already. Daunt Books. Marylebone High Street, London. Sun setting over the 02 arena and Canary Wharf, East London. The funfair by Curzon Street. A puddle outside of Selfridges.

The_Rev
It's a hell of a place Mike. That shot really doesn't do it justice, it's just a fraction of the inside. The shop is half way between Baker Street & Bond Street tube should you ever find you find yourself in the smoke. 1

We've got a trip to London coming up in March and we were trying to decide if it needed an overnight stay. This shop just decided it for me. We'll have a second day and start it here. Good job, well done.
