tonyh29
that looks more like a painting than a photo ? My mate does these "shots" when we go to various monuments on our travels , reflections in the water and what not ... I'm more of a traditionalist myself , just give me a point and click and leave the fancy stuff to David Bailey Edited June 2, 2014 by tonyh29

chrisp65
All Saints, Wraxall, Somerset. I don't suppose anybody recognises the verse? No date on the stone and no name so difficult to date. It was surrounded by mid Victorian to WWI stuff, but there were others nearby from the 1770's and the church had elements of the building that may be Norman. So it could be just about any age. It's quite naive, but the symbolism suggests 1750's ish.
chrisp65
ok photography people, anybody got any suggestions or comments here: my everyday Olympus Pen epl1 has died, the shutter is stuck closed and the guestimate is that it will cost at least as much to fix as swapping for a similar used camera looking around for stuff similar to the pen, the panasonic G5 and panasonic GX1 look a fair bet and would allow me to keep using my existing lenses, so for around £120 / £130 i can upgrade to a 16mb unit and keep my lenses at the moment, purely on size and convenience I'm going to press the button and buy the GX1 anybody think of any reasons why I shouldn't (I'll be using it as a bit of a step up from a point and shoot, compact size is more valued than articulated view screens or eye view finders)
Popular Post NurembergVillan Posted December 13, 2014 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted December 13, 2014 Took this at Cleveland Dam in North Vancouver earlier. On an iPhone, with just HDR to help me. And this one at Stanley Park

choffer Posted August 15, 2015 VT Supporter Share Posted August 15, 2015 (edited) A few shots from a day on the south coast. Think I need a better lens as they're a bit grubby. Either that or I could actually learn how to use my camera properly Particularly enjoyed seeing this bad boy: Other highlights: The data on the MiG was indeed, inaccurate. The_Rev
It's been a while since anyone posted in here but it dawned on me a while ago that at the moment I'm spending quite a lot of time in central Birmingham and London because of work, this probably won't last forever so I figured I'd try to document my travels. I dump most of the pictures to Instagram but a few choice ones from the past two or three weeks:

The_Rev
Aye. It's just occurred to me that people will be heading there in droves in a week or so, valentine's day and all that. What a weird little custom.
