Zhan_Zhuang
Mike Patton - Mondo Cane, live in Chile (via the tube of you) Quello Che Conta is one of my favourites from the album; Patton is truly one of the greatest vocalists...

chrisp65
in similar stylee, put me in mind of this... I've got a limited edition (like there'd have been much demand!) silk screen printed cover of this on twin ten inch vinyl. I'm convinced the Pete Fowler artwork alone will be my pension plan. mjmooney Posted August 28, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 28, 2012 Is that the same that I'm thinking of?
chrisp65
I think it might be, yes. There's certainly a similarity and the Rayon Hula version of Mike Cooper has been going since the mid 60's. Playing 'Steel Trout' at present and it all seems to fit the same guy. I'm sure wikipedia will be my friend soon.... why yes it is, small world and all that

Xann
^^^^^^^^^^ Usually see two of them around Christmas. A third came to see me about a fortnight ago looking for something specific. Found it for him, then we got chatting about players & tunes. My boss realised I'd been caught up with someone for an age, came through to rescue me (we get nutters from time to time). His face was solid gold when he clocked who the 'nutter' was.

mjmooney Posted August 29, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted August 29, 2012 OK, must be Davies then, although I thought he was mostly US-based these days. And Jimmy Page.
Xann
'The David Whitaker Songbook' David did some great arrangements for all sorts of folks & films. Would like to see more of it readily available (the 'Hammerhead' OST particularly). For the moment the best thing is this French comp, it's great though. Jagger & Co messily took the Verve to task for though the strings in question were penned by Whitaker. Here's one he knocked up for Lee Hazlewood. mjmooney Posted September 3, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted September 3, 2012 Crossing over with the books thread, I am currently reading: Consequently, I am soundtracking it with: A full, non-overdubbed (unlike "Get Yer Ya Yas Out") '69 US tour set. Play, as they say, loud.
