That sounds just the kind of thing I'd love.

Ah, you’ll be fine, there’s no Star Wars in it. That put me off for years as well, then someone tipped me off he was just cashing in on the name and it had no connection. There’s not a woke movie franchise Disney toy spin off to be seen or heard.

It’s just sparse mid 70’s dub notes. The stuff you can play on a bass if you only have one finger. Brilliant.

Much like the Soul Jazz Compilation Space Age Dub.

"...Homing in on a space-age theme, one can expect an extra out-of-this-world FX palette here, with snippets of the original tracks' vocal channels phased in and out of their thoroughly effected instrumentals - like eclipsed satellites in orbit."

Here is the track listing;
"Red Neck"
"Marcus Dub"
"Accra"
"A Lie Gal A Tell"
"Squash Dub"
"Pick Up The Version"
"Saucy Perila"
"Roaring Reggae"
"Still Water Version"
"My Man" (part 2)
"Disco Dub"
"Tricky"
"Illiteracy Version".
"Wailing Sounds"

Not one hint of a rocket, not one!

Great Dub album though :D

I am intrigued by illiteracy version. Just assume it’s a man with a very thick Cannock accent trying to spell words.

Bought a few weeks ago but really growing on me

the return of Laura J Martin with her new album - Prepared.

Kosmiche tinged almost ethereal folk/pop

Razorlight. (Remember them?) from the noughties. Stumbled upon there most recent album on their YouTube.  It's not bad IMO. The album is called Olympus Sleeping if anyone was a fan in their hey day.

Just returned from Worcester and the soundtrack was The Wedding Present’s Bizarro. It still sounds fresh. Forgot how good an album it is.

David Hidalgo sounds exactly like Steve Winwood on the title track.
