Rugeley Villa
Any metal heads listened to the new ozzy album ? He’s been knocking out mainly crap for a few years now, but this new album is definitely a step up . Infact it’s a good album worth giving a listen. His song featuring Clapton is superb along with some other guests including two songs with Iommi with the one being very good . The remastered new pressings are usually in HMV in the 2 for £40 offer they continually have on, which has also been expanded to 3 for £55. Most of the early Pink Floyd catalogue pre The wall are in it permanently 3 albums for £55 (£18.33 per album) is a decent price if its just an album you want to listen to and not collectors thang

Shame about the obvious lemon The original 3 CD set that this was culled from is a better comp though
bickster Posted October 13, 2022 Moderator Share Posted October 13, 2022 The Wedding Present - The Hit Parade - 30th Anniverary Edition In 1992 the Weddoes released a ltd edition single every month for a year. The A side was an original composition and the B side was a cover Each single charted in the Top 40 and equalled a record set by Elvis in 1957 of having 12 Top 40 hits in a year April 1992 they released Flying Saucer, one of my absolute favourite Weddoes tracks made better by the fact it samples a UFO from the Gerry Anderson series UFO. The Theme Tune of UFO was later a cover on the B Side of the penultimate release in the series The cover of Theme from Shaft is also a favourite
bickster Posted October 13, 2022 Moderator Share Posted October 13, 2022 X-Ray Spex - X-Ray Spex Original pressing, owned from new, vinyl still in absolutely great shape (Cover not exactly bad for a 44 year old record) There was an old Peel session on the radio the other night and it prompted me to get this out. Bloody great band and perfectly only made one album (the first time around). Poly Styrene left and they reinvented themselves as Classix Nouveaux Often forgotten in the punk retrospectives but they shouldn't be, lots of punks copied the different coloured dayglo socks thing
