bickster Posted February 26, 2021 Moderator Share Posted February 26, 2021 Live album (rare for me) Wooden Shjips - Shjips in the Night Live in San Francisco, June 18th 2018 Bought because they were bloody fantastic live, even listening to this reminds me of the gig and particularly the light show

bickster Posted February 27, 2021 Moderator Share Posted February 27, 2021 So far this morning it has been... The wonderful album Murmurations by Simian Mobile Disco (its the Deep throat Choir that makes it) Currently I'm halfway through the underappreciated (even by the people who made it, their only album not to be re-released) Vacuum Pumping by SIngers and Players And I shall follow that with the beauftiful and sweet voice of Bim Sherman on his album Exploitation
AlwaysAVFC
No idea why, but had Shed 7 Going for gold in my head as I got ready this morning. So I've put the best of on, and cooking breakfast while pretending to be 15 again. Much to the annoyance of the rest of the house. 1
rjw63
Another one for the (extensive) BB's collection. Great value at less than a tenner, amazingly shipped from japan in five days. My missus posted a Shpock item via Hermes...still hasn't arrived after 10 days!

Seat68
Eyebrows being raised by current MrsD. Doubt it will make it past the first side.

I'm shocked it's only a tenner tbh given that it contains the first ever released recording of Nirvana in pre-Grohl days It's the sort of record I'd keep and never play
bickster Posted March 1, 2021 Moderator Share Posted March 1, 2021 Dub Sex - Splinterred Faith A compilation of the Manchester band's career up to the point it was released (1 Album & a few singles) in 1989. This is a freebie as it still contains a press pack. They never released another record until they reformed in 2014 It would not be out of place in the current Indie / Post-Punk scene

As you say, an absolute classic. Some of the rhythm guitar work on it is absolutely astonishing.

regular_john
Nirvana - In Utero This is an album I come back to every now and then. It's not one to play regularly but once a year or so, I whack it on loud and listen start to finish. It is a beautiful, ugly, caustic, stunning record. 10/10
