theboyangel Posted February 15, 2020 Share Posted February 15, 2020 Stray by Bambara awesome album (a bit like earlyish Nick Cave - there’s a definite snarling delivery by the vocalist!) they’re touring soon too and swinging by brum on May 19th... unfortunately they’re not venturing further south than Bristol (which coincides with my daughter’s birthday ) A great tonic for a wet and windy Saturday morning whilst prepping tonight’s dinner!!! 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Another one where I’m amazed that something could be played on a shitty turntable by a teenager, then stored in a garage for about 30 years, a quick squirt and wipe with a cloth and it plays like new. bickster Posted February 15, 2020 Moderator Share Posted February 15, 2020 Pole - 2 I don't own this but a friend recommended it last week and I'll be trying to track down a copy (plenty on Discogs quite cheap tbh) Dubtronica I guess if you're into that genre thing Pole was started when a Wadorf 4-Pole filter dropped on the floor and broke, it started making random hissing and clicky noises heard all the way through this, they are random and not programmed (hence name of artist). I know Sheilds is a perfectionist who works at glacial pace but I genuinely believe this is their best album and would love another.
