bickster Posted April 17, 2012 Moderator Share Posted April 17, 2012 Oh there's a bad memory, right there, nothing to do with the marvellous Curtis, well it is but not his music. First time I ever got threatened with a gun was at a Curtis Mayfield gig, some knob head wanting to meet "Curtis Tha Man" and was prepared to brandish a pistol in order to get to meet him I just happened to be doing backstage security… ANyway Curtis was as cool as can be, invited the man in and chatted to him like he'd known him for years for a good twenty minutes, whereas I'd slammed the door in the blokes face… I got the **** out of there! Xann
Luciano Perrone E Seus Ritmistas Brasilieros - 'Batucada Fantastica Vol.3' It's entirely percussion, with the exception of track which has a vocal. It's been blowing my mind for the past couple of days.

Xann
Was listening to 'A Night in Tunisia' on Saturday. I think 'Orgy...' has Sabu Martinez on it. He's knocked out or two too.
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
On The Corner - Miles Davis Love it. Funky, and has 'Can' all over it. Or perhaps it's the other way round?

dAVe80
Brought this a couple of years back, based purely on the name of the band. Female fronted garage rock. What's not to like?

Xann
This year's Yacht Rocking Numero release for Record Store Day. There's nothing from it on YouTube, but it's very Steely Dan. Possibly every track has a Fender Rhodes on it somewhere.
