chrisp65
It wasn't aimed at you, but I did wait until it was somebody / anybody I perceived to be thick skinned! I was actually fishing for a pots / kettles / greenhouses style response.

islingtonclaret
That's odd. Last week I really started getting into Mungos Hi-Fi for the first time. The only thing I knew about them was one of the tracks they did with Brother Culture because it was on the Solid Steel Mr Scruff mix
dAVe80
Dave, Look who's discovered Mungo's HiFi following the last mixtape exchange! Nice one! They're great, ain't they? Who'd have though the Jocks could do Dub so well?!
chrisp65
see, isn't the tinternet a wonderful thing - I quite like Brother Culture, but didn't know about that link up, now I've got a new lead to follow up... for me, the winding route went like this: I like Alabama 3 a couple of the guys split off from the band and formed Mountain of Love, which is a bit more electro / dub orientated I went to see Mountain of Love play a pub gig in Brixton and they were excellent, part way through the gig they had a mini guest vocals spot from Brother Culture and that was just superb, just properly one of my best ever gig experiences, about 40 or 50 of us in a boozer being blown away now a new link, Mungo's Hi Fi was on a CD from Dave and I loved it and here we are!

chrisp65
£2 signed copy, but I actually bought it because it was recorded just down the road in Penarth. It's a bit Dukes of Hazard / Smokey and the Bandit so far...

NorthernGordon
The latest Mungo's Hi-FI album, Serious Time, is one of the best reggae albums of the past twenty years.
