Xann
Dudley Moore - 'Dudley' Collection from his 60s and 70s stuff: Jazz, soundtracks and silliness, Fine musician. Almost a shame that his talents were so diverse that he didn't compose and record more.

useless
I was listening to Ascension by John Coltrane but turned it off. Listening to Fluxyl by Henning Christainsen now, not a legal copy though, not sure what to make of it. I quite like it the actual music sounds different to his other stuff I've heard perhaps more classical, like something you'd hear on Radio 3, but it's still got the other random noises going on especially on the B side, too bad I'll never be able to afford a copy. blandy Posted October 30, 2014 Moderator Share Posted October 30, 2014 New and rather splendid HMHB. I’ve just seen Vengloš in Rock Ferry buying energy drinks He’s deffo taking over God knows I’ve tried to put you into verse But unfortunately When it comes to things such as this It’s all me, me, me You’re so beige I bet you think this song’s about someone else

mjmooney Posted October 30, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted October 30, 2014 fairport convention, fairport convention. great stuff The first one, with Time Will Show the Wiser, etc.? Oft-overlooked, and not typical of their later work.

From a songwriting POV It doesn't quite reach the heights of 90 Bisodol (Left Lyrics In Practice Room and Fix It So She Dreams Of Me are up there with their best work) but lyrically he just seems to get better and better. I struggle to think of someone whose lyrics I enjoy more than Blackwell's to be honest. Best song on the new album for me is Adam Boyle Has Cast Lad Rock Aside, which is an absolute corker.
