Xann
Todd Rundgren - 'A Wizard, A True Star' Lunatic genius. Todd's watershed album, this was the point he decided to dispense with sanity. The albums before are solid singer/song writer material, the albums after are a little more left field 'Wizard' starts with FX laden lunacy then shifts to a number lifted from Peter Pan ('Never Never Land'),it then continues in a similarly random vein.

leviramsey Posted August 13, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted August 13, 2013 Linked because of tits... I don't normally do Greatest Hits albums, but listening to a hits compilation shows how great (arguably the best run of rock singles any band had in the 93-2001 period) Stone Temple Pilots were.I also like that some thought was put into the sequencing as opposed to going purely chronological (the Rush Retrospectives also eschew chronology). Would have appreciated a bit more from the more psychedelic side of STP, so I'll probably put Tiny Music... Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop on after this.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVfOqcZSwwo
JamieZ
This was my CD find of the day. Cha-cha and meringue covers of Kreftwerk songs. All of it. Edited August 14, 2013 by JamieZ

Dr_Pangloss
Roy Jones Junior - Round One: The Album. Amazing stuff really, it really is at the very upper echelon of lyricism.

mjmooney Posted August 20, 2013 VT Supporter Share Posted August 20, 2013 Yeah, early 90s. But it sounds 60s/70s. Have you heard it? It's basically the same template as Teenage Fanclub, i.e Beatles + Byrds + Neil Young.
