But other than the stuff where the band name and song title or the graphics look like some sort of doom thrash goth stuff, I’ll often give it a click. If the band is called Blood Disease Black Mass, and the song is called Suck My Blood Millions Dead, and the graphics are variations on wizard monsters in a cathedral at night, I’m unlikely to click on it. Well, yes. I suspect there are multiple subcultures operating in those threads - I will VERY rarely listen to the metal stuff; the hip-hop or EDM, never. I also tend to avoid the post-rock. And If I'm already familiar with it, there seems no point in playing it. Maybe the odd country track. But the point is that - unlike some threads (boxing, wrestling, etc.) I don't ignore them - I scroll pretty much every day - but hardly ever click. If someone was to post a song link with accompanying text along the lines of “think this might be my favourite song of the year” or similar, I will give it a listen. Like how is it possible for the best team to be so much quicker when they’re all using the same equipment (I think) and sailing in the same conditions.
