Things you often Wonder

Maybe there is a reason for this that i've missed, but why do MK Dons keep up the "Dons" part of their name, when the whole existence of the club is a giant shit on the chest of every Wimbledon supporter, and AFC Wimbledon are now only a league below them anyway.

Okay i've done a bit of reading and MK Dons still consider themselves to be a continuation of Wimbledon.

What a joke.

I have noticed that every Friday lunchtime groups of young men are seen to go and have their haircut together - is this a recent trend?

Do you live in Turkey too?

I'm pretty sure a barbers here is just a tea-house. With an optional extra of a hair cut...when you feel like it.

A Turkish Barbers has opened nearby recently. I want to go there, there's an opening offer of "All haircuts = £5."

What are they like with dreadlocks?

Why will my work not order me a special chair without a referral from the doctor. The doctor believes me if I say I have a bad back, so why won't my work?

How much does it cost your doctor if you have a bad back?

How much does it cost your employer if it gets a more expensive chair for everyone that says they need a more expensive chair?

I'd guess the answer to the second question is a higher number.

Out of business probably.

The answer to the second question is automatically higher, as the answer to the first question is "Ay? It doesn't cost my doctor anything if I have a bad back". What I actually asked work, was if I could have one of the health people come and give me a workplace assessment, as I've had a bad back lately. So I don't even automatically get an expensive chair. Considering it's their number-crunching that gave me the bad back (and the need for glasses!) (sorry donnie) I think they should just book me an assessment. The bumders.

I do a little bit of work for two or three banks, chairs appear to be something they've got a real hang up about. Staff chairs and front of house chairs. When you consider how many staff there are, the money in a chair is kind of a big deal for them, but not as big a deal as they make it. I suspect they see it as a pre cursor to something else, i.e. if they admit you need a specialist chair or screen or keyboard etc., then perhaps at some point in the future there might be a claim coming. That's pure conjecture on my part, but it is noticeably a big deal.

On the public side chairs, I worked with one bank/building society that got it's own 'special' deal on look alike chairs. They looked like a well known designer chair but were subtly tweeked versions by another (foreign) manufacturer. First we knew about it was when they started appearing on site. They were particularly unhappy when I pointed out that the hundreds of chairs they'd bought without consulting us were actually dearer than the real thing by about £165 per chair.

I'm sure the people that invest our pensions are much more clued up than the chair purchasing department.
