I'm mystified why anyone would do it and why it's tidy.

It takes up less space because its neat, compact and not full of air

EDIT: Also, they don't fly off in the wind if you're in a pub beer garden for example

Does anybody fold an empty packet of crisps into a Triangle?

I 'concertina' the packet so it's a long strip, and then tie it in a knot.

I now feel like the odd one out as I've always just, you know put crisp packets in the bin.

In 52 years I don't think I've ever seen anyone fold them or do anything else.

You lot 😆

I sort of fold them in on themselves, then again, then again, until you end up with a sort of long boat or canoe shape. Then tie them in a knot. It kinda minimises the size stops them popping back open and gives them a sort of density coefficient where if you were in an outdoor scenario, it would take a greater gust of wind to blow the empty wrapper away.

There’s another thing I wonder, on the subject of canoes, why do so many people mispronounce volcanoes?
