They are showing all the hallmarks of a team about to go down

That loss to Bournemouth looked much like our capitulation to Leicester City the year we went down.  Been circling the drain for awhile now. Think this may be the year.

That 2-3 defeat smacks of the same scoreline we suffered against Leicester City in the year we went down.

This could be the year

Great minds think alike. Just made the same comment above. Missed yours. They are cooked and you can get him for + odds at most sports books to be relegated.

People always get carried away by the first few results of the season and declare teams doomed if they lose a few games or think they're suddenly going to be top four challengers if they win a few games, everything being said since their Bournemouth defeat, including talk of it bearing all the hallmarks us when we were relegated, was being said after they lost their first three games last season, but they finished the season on forty points escaping relegaton easy peasy, effortlessly breezily, and if it wasn't for points deductions they would have had forty-eights, which is the same number of points as Bournemouth and Brighton, who's managers were getting hyped, they may well struggle, but maybe not to the extent their first three games might suggest, and I think we have to be very weary of them, when teams suffer heavy defeat they often bounce back with a win, and the manner of Everton defeat might have a smilar galvanizing effect, hopefully we can come through, but we have to be at our best and not take anything for granted

Yeah I thought the same

And I said before, we know all too well that teams who spend a few seasons circling that drain rarely pull themselves out of it. Often a relegation and a reset is needed.

I don't want them to go down but I think that's due at Everton

Definitely, Everton had 1 point after 5 games last year, They also went on a run from mid december to april where they didn't win at all for 13 straight games, had 8 points deducted yet still easily stayed up

Yep but they started last season like this too.  We beat them 4-0 without breaking a sweat in our first home game.

Hoping for a repeat! Be great to score a few and not concede!

To be fair to Everton - they’ve named that store with their tongue firmly in their cheek as it’s in the Liverpool 1 shopping precinct.

so the address is Everton 2, Liverpool 1!

(wishful thinking for them too 😂

When people mention the fact that Everton stayed up despite being deduced 8 points in the end, they forget to mention that it effectively galvanised the team and reinforced Dyche's backs against the wall mantra etc.

After their first deduction,, they won 4 out of the next 5 games and losing the other.

After their second deduction, they won 4 out of the next 5 games and losing the other.

The rest of the season their record outside of those 10 games was won 5, drawn 9 and lost 14 which is relegation form.

They’ll get out of it. Leicester will be docked points and are poor in general and Southampton/Ipswich are garbage.

You have to be very, very bad nowadays to get relegated ahead of the 3 teams that are promoted. The gulf between the PL and Championship is massive.

The season before last all three promoted teams survived, and the relegated trio were arguably the strongest relegated teams in years. There's a lot of recency bias in your post IMO.
