Great comparison. Although we won our opening game that season. Everton have started even worse.

Pretty much, but even worse. Just looked at the score and their goals were in the 72nd, 82nd and 89th minutes. I cannot even comprehend how bad it must feel to be in the 86th minute 2-0 and end up losing 3-2. It's even worse than when we threw it away against Wolves a few years ago under Smith.

God the thought of that makes me feel a bit sick!

A defeat like that is an absolute killer. Better to lose 3-0 and never be in the game.

They love Tim though. He showed some real skills in the build up to the 2nd goal they scored.

Can they afford to sack him and who do they bring in to a basically bankrupt sunken ship

Moyes but as you say can they afford it.

Vardy scored the first goal in his record breaking run that set them up to win the league

We got relegated

Crazy it's not talked about more, especially given Sherwood made stupid subs at 2-0

Crazy to think that Gueye, despite being a decent player, could well end up being part of not one but two historically bad relegation seasons for two separate big clubs who haven't been relegated in decades.

Even crazier that in between these 2 historically awful seasons he played for PSG with Messi, Mbappe, Ramos, Neymar and other superstars.

I actually don't think there's any chance they sack him.

Moyes is out there and available. He's taken on West Ham twice later on in the seasons and kept them up. Chance to keep Everton up and then lead them into a new era at the new ground and eventually back into European contention.

If they put the feelers out and he's up for it I don't think Dyche will last too much longer as we should comfortably beat them and then it's a huge six pointer away to Leicester.
