Jarpie
We don't know why he wasn't selected to the bench against Arsenal, maybe he wasn't 100% fit and Lambert didn't want to risk him on the wet pitch with the suspect ankle. One slip and *crack*.
AVFCforever1991
Ok no excuse for him not be on the bench against reading though, unless he is still injured of course.
CI
I reckon a deal is already done with the bin dippers
PieFacE Posted November 26, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted November 26, 2012 I reckon a deal is already done with the bin dippers I doubt it. Bent doesn't really fit in with Rodgers' "total football" philosophy... considering he's a very limited footballer.
Morley_crosses_to_Withe
The Independent are laughably reporting that Redknapp wants him at QPR. I reckon he'll go to Fulham.
jacketspuds
The Independent are laughably reporting that Redknapp wants him at QPR. I reckon he'll go to Fulham. This. There is no way Bent will go to QPR now that Redknapp is there. 'Arry will try and sign Defoe as usual and AVB, sorry Levy, will sign someone like Willian and/or Leandro Damiaio to replace him. LondonLax
The loan deal to liverpool is being reported in the Metro as well. Option to buy in the summer.
CI
Starting to make sense, very risky move though unless he's being replaced with quality
AvfcRigo82
I imagine that is already in place CI.
PieFacE Posted November 26, 2012 VT Supporter Share Posted November 26, 2012 What's making sense about this? Rodgers got rid of Carroll because he didn't fit into his "total football" philosophy. Rodgers is obviously after hungry players who give 100% every game in the same way Lambert is (look at Sterling), does it make sense that Bent would fit into that? 'Cos it certainly doesn't to me. In fact, far from it.
Jarpie
I'm with Pieface on this, Bent to Liverpool doesn't make any sense unless it's beeing arranged behind Rodger's back. Why would he take another limited footballer when he didn't have use for Carroll?
LondonLax
He needs an out and out finisher. Liverpool create a lot of chances but Suarez is ropy at putting them away and they have no one else. I recon Bent would get into double figures by the end of the season up there. AVFCforever1991
Defoe to QPR Bent back to spurs ?? No, Defoe is playing well.. I doubt AVB would want to let him go. Can't see Rodgers wanting Bent Either.
Eames
We'd be out of our **** minds to loan Bent out. By all means sell him.... we could use the cash. But a loan makes no sense other than the fact he might help plop smash a few goals past some relegation rivals.
Richard
Would not be at all in favour of a loan deal. Not good business
Nabby
No chance we would loan him out ...unless we are receiving a sizable loan fee and Guranteed purchase fee at the end. Would not surprise me Liverpool trying this they spent a huge amount on loaning Sahrin ..loan fee, most of wages and paying for his rent
Richard
The loan fee would need to be Downing on a permenent deal and guaranteed fee of 20M at the end if it is a loan1
jacketspuds
I'd rather we loaned him to Liverpool than sold him to QPR. May help Liverpool beat our relegation rivals and also won't be able to play against us. However, we would need another quality ST to come in and replace him. But no idea who.
