ChrisNichollsToe
got the chances today He just does not look comfortable though. What was the reason for him being withdrawn from the England camp, Groin?

Mantis
He's not fit. Why do people constantly try and invent behind-the-scenes problems when it's clear to see that he just simply isn't 100% fit?
Czechlad
Where did this talk that he isn't happy with McLeish come from? Bent is clearly still carrying an injury and he probably injured himself further against newcastle.
CI
I reckon Bent will be really fired up for the game tomorrow I don't think he's fully fit so wont expect too many sparks he is not fit & needs a rest

DiegoD
Today we saw the bad side of Bent's game, if he isn't putting away those chances he doesn't offer enough to start. That being said I agree that he doesn't look 100%, hopefully the fonz plays a blinder against bolton so that Mcleish can rest bent next week and get better. AVFC-Prideofbrum
He may not be fit which is fair enough in terms of overall performance but really should be burying at least one of those chances today. Vital, the difference between 1 and 3 points. Hopefully he'll be scoring again soon.

Yes probably. Can't really understand why he was at Villa yesterday ? Saw a very smug looking Faulkner pre game too (No Randy again)
sonic_bouma
Can't blame Dazza for today. Yes he missed a sitter but we all know what he's about. I think everyone thought Petrov was going to shoot and his cut-back was hit too hard. Are you related to him? Hit too hard? Should have scored plain and simple
Richard
I can't see him putting up with this lack of service for too much longer. He will want out in January.I absolutely agree for me the clock is ticking for his departure now. Soon the fans will start saying "what the f does Bent do? He has been shocking this season" then we'll try and convince ourselves he is crap and we could do so much better. He is a goal machine straight and simple, create the chances he will (9 times out of ten) put them away. Do not create the chances and he looks redundant. Trouble is that when he does then get the odd scrap the odd sniff of a chance the pressure will be on to convert 9 out of 10 to 10 out of 10 and no striker is that good, especially when rusty. Another vicious circle. Best striker we have had in 30 years for me but then we take away the one thing he needs to do his job. Brilliant He'll want off and I do not subscribe to the view that there aren't many clubs he could go to. There are clubs that will come in for himI can see the fans opinion on Bent beginning to turn. IMO he'll be off next summer
CI
To be fair, Stan tee'd it up perfectly for Bent It was a shocking miss
CI
Can't see who would come in for Bent with an acceptable offer (+£20m)
SiDanger
He is a good goal scorer but all the top teams have good goal scorers who offer so much more as well. He is about the best we can get and we are about the best he can get in my opinion.
