Sooner or later, even the most vocal critics of Lambert will have to accept Bent is a spent force and that he did the right thing shipping him out last summer. Did we score lots of goals? Did we sign quality players with his free wages? We've got a demotivated, low confident, un fit striker earning lots of money. I'd say making him captain, sending him to the bomb squad and wanting rid of him has contributed to that. What positives do you think came from shipping him out?
