alienvillan
I hope the next manager will be appointed in no sooner than 2013. I'm not happy or satisfied with the (realistic!) candidates. I hope Gerard gets well 100%.
romavillan Posted May 2, 2011 VT Supporter Share Posted May 2, 2011 moyes is an interesting choice, i'm not sure he'd come right now, but maybe a fresh start for him would spur him on to break the glass ceiling he seems to have found with the toffees. ranieri is getting on a bit but i like him and he'd probably build a decent squad and leave us better off in the long run. jol would probably like another crack at the prem, and his tottenham side was a good one. lot of speculation though, when are we going to know if houllier is staying? SemperFi
We dont know but i hope for some kind of action if randy is going to take any as early as possible hopefully as last summer was a shambles.

The easy option for Randy is to stick with Houllier and MacAllister and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they are both there at the start of next season. However, given the doubts about Houllier's health I think this would be the wrong choice, not to mention how bad results have been.
Gadzooks
Houlliers health issues aside ... we've had an appalling season and whether he's medically fit to continue or not the decision to replace him must be made by Randy and the board ! Replacements ... well I'd hope Randy offers Everton a decent amount of compensation and we get David Moyes, it goes against what was said last season about enticing a manager currently employed elsewhere but that has proved to be a mistake. If they decide to stand by that policy then I hope they opt for Martin Jol ... although with our defence being an absolute shambles this year I'd like to see whoever is hired bring in a defensive specialist ! TRS-T
Ranieri over Hughes though surely? No way! Also to people mentioning Riijkard - no way!
Guest
Lambert is a cracking manager. Only 41, has something special about him. Only thing that would worry me is the lack of experience. Not sure we have a chance now he is in the prem with Norwich though. He definitely is one that has a big future.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
See how he does in the Prem first, I doubt he'll get a much bigger club than us coming in for him if he does well.
dudevillaisnice
He has done ok.. same lack of experience worries me, atleast we'll get a chance to see how he does in the prem.
steve-67
Norwich won't have a huge amount of money so he'll have to manage to the best of his ability, even punch well above his weight to keep the Canaries in the Prem. I doubt he'll suceed but that shouldn't take anything away from his achievements.
sir_gary_cahill
See how he does in the Prem first, I doubt he'll get a much bigger club than us coming in for him if he does well. and yet you ridiculed my suggestion of aidy boothroyd, even though he achieved the exact same as lambert, by getting watford promoted
jacketspuds
To be fair Lambert has got Norwich back to back promotions. He has also done it with stlye and does not have small man syndrome.

Back to back promotions is more impressive. 2. As said, see how he does in the Prem first. If Lambert is 18th-20th with Norwich next season, then I don't think so. If he's like top 8th-12th with Norwich first season in Prem then he'd definitely come into our thoughts. Bothroyd never proved himself in the Prem, nor has Lambert, which is why I said let's see how he does first... :? Not to mention Bothroyd also failed with Coventry since. Shoody
To be honest I'd really like us to try and take Steve Bruce from Sunderland.

jacketspuds
Steve Bruce would definitely come to Villa. Especially as we now have Darren Bent who is nobbing his daughter.
sir_gary_cahill
No thanks, average.
