maqroll
My Border Collie is only 3 and she's developed lameness in her back left leg. I think this might be an expensive one. She's not a working collie, her parents were, but she gets loads of exercise, having been up snowdon and Ben Nevis 18 times between them last summer. Not to mention all the beach walks. I should have insured her. That's a real issue with full breeds, hip issues. I'd love to get a Rottie, but I think I'll end up getting a rescue mutt. Popular Post ThunderPower_14
One of my best mates is studying to be a vet, and also working part time as a vet nurse while she's still at uni. She had a Golden Retriever breeder bring her in a puppy from a recent litter to be euthanised, as it was a "swimmer pup", meaning it's legs sort of splayed out to the side of it when it was really little and it wasn't able to compete with the other puppies for it's mother's attention/milk whatever. The condition can also cause longterm issues with their legs and flatten out their rib cage a bit as they grow, causing further issues. She refused to kill it and took it home and basically became it's mother from about 2.5 weeks old, doing lots of therapy on it's legs to correct the issue, and at 5 weeks old it's basically at full health for a 5 week old puppy, running around and causing mischief, and it's the cutest thing I have ever seen. She was a bit worried that the breeder would want him back now that he was doing well, and she'd obviously grown attached and wanted to keep him. The breeder came to visit and not only asked my friend if she would be willing to keep the puppy, but offered to pay her for the few weeks of care. My friend declined, but she was super happy to keep the puppy. She has 2 adult Labradors at home as well, and the little one is fitting in very well with them!

Rugeley Villa
now my dog has got a bit older its started being very funny with other dogs, shes not vicious where she will hunt a dog down and attack it but if another dog comes up to her 9 times out of ten she will go for it just to warn it off. but some dogs who want to play she will play with them and run about with them, but in all honesty she just wants to be left alone to play with me. shes been very well socialised with people and dogs so its not thatits down to me, just in some staffys nature i suppose. Popular Post turnbull
Well, here's Flo folks. We picked her up on Saturday and TBH she;s been an absolute little darling. She's house trained already and she's only 9 weeks old today, which is pretty good. The breeders have done a brilliant job with her. We absolutely love her to bits. I know it's early days but she's been great so far.

BOF Posted September 3, 2015 Moderator Share Posted September 3, 2015 So many ridiculously handsome pooches. Dogs are better than humans man I swear. Given that we are quite literally the worst thing that has ever befallen this planet, yes I'd say basically everything is better than humans. But yes I know what you mean
