I only came here to read about/discuss the Manchester attack and election stuff, but there's a Cats thread (and a Haiku one..!)! I'll hopefully chip in with some pictures sometime soon. I "rescued" my cat (Rolf) 4 years ago from a local cat protection place. He was a stray and estimated 3/4 years old at the time. He has FIV (it is, yes, just for cats) so has to be kept indoors which was perfect for me at the time living in a 2nd floor flat. Apparently, I was his last hope at finding a home before the cat protection place moved him to another branch in Wrexham to try his luck there. A woman beforehand had reserved Rolf to be company for her mother who was in some sort of home or home-care. The mother didn't want "a cat with diseases" meaning, thankfully, he became mine! (Or, rather, I became his... funny how that works out). Reading BOF and mjmooney's posts on the previous page - I just know it's going to be such a incredibly hard time when the day comes. My cat has no bad bones in his body and has been a wonderful companion to have after my last break up and some scares in the family. Anyway his name is Jasper and he is 12 weeks old and we got him from the local animal welfare place. He is a pretty cool cat and and bold too, he already rumbles with my bigger dog. For a hard ass like me coming home from nightshift to find the cat asleep between the two dogs, is a bit of an aaaawwww moment. The cat learns everything quickly including how to annoy me all day long. He won't let me pat him but he'll bite me, scratch me, jump on me, attack everything around me or on me. He loves my Mrs so after he finishes taunting me he curls up on her lap and I get 'aaawww the cute little cat' He's the devil I reckon.....
