Popular Post Rugeley Villa
Had a roast beef dinner last night and as always my wife over did it with the beef. Anyways I thought whatever I don't eat I can have on sandwiches for work. Got the plate out of the microwave this morning and put it on the side ready whilst I was making the kids toast, then turned around and the cat was just finishing the beef off. clearing in the woods Edited February 3, 2017 by Rugeley Villa

Paddywhack
This thread being bumped has just reminded me to google why my cat is so affectionate and needy all of a sudden (A bit out of character, he's never off my lap, constantly meowing for a fuss or to be let out or in every few minutes). It led me to mumsnet. Christ, a few more minutes in there and I'd be calling you all babez x.

Popular Post Villaninireland
I now have another cat . Poor thing kept coming round scrounging for food & finally managed to get her to the vets. Mrs Miggins was malnourished ,has weakness in her back right leg, untreated abscess on her tail , a bad tooth & a heart murmur. She is also very old. She now spends all her time eating & sleeping on the bed in the spare room. Vet said she had been out for a long time. She must have been through such a hard time but she is still so friendly .

They all get on? My parents have 4 and they generally loathe each other (they are all rescue cats that arrived at different times).
Popular Post Villaninireland
This is Mrs Miggins <3 She hates other cats . Tarmac hates my dads cat Mumu. He would quite happily kill him given half a chance. The ones I inherited from dad get on well together & the 4 from Ireland get on but Tarmac & Zoot bully Parsley. Tarmac is just a little git TBH . Have a pictute of Spanner too .

Popular Post il_serpente Posted March 9, 2017 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted March 9, 2017 Just adopted these rescue kittens. Can't bring them home for another week or so after they've been neutered. We just bought new furniture for them to tear up, too. Exciting times ahead! Our 11 year-old cat Koko (Taylor) disappeared a couple of months ago without a trace. We'd just moved back into the house after being out 10 months for a remodel. We'd left her at the property and came by almost daily to feed and pet her. She was a very skittish outdoor cat and would not have survived in the high-density place we were staying. She did fine while we were gone and seemed so happy for us to be back, so it was crushing to have her disappear. Her brother, Muddy (Waters), had been mauled by a coyote a couple of years earlier (we just told the kids we got a call from animal control that they'd found him without giving details), so the kids were really down. My son, in particular, wasn't ready to get more cats yet because he kept holding out hope Koko would return and thought it was unfair to her to just move on and forget about her. Then he saw these little guys and couldn't help falling for them.
BOF Posted March 9, 2017 Moderator Share Posted March 9, 2017 @maqroll All those "cuddles" are just the bobcat marking them for later consumption Very cute though, admittedly Beautiful animal.
Rugeley Villa
Cats are so much easier than dogs. I would post a video of Noel Gallagher explaining why he's a cat and his brother Liam is a dog, but it's got too much swearing in it and I don't want a warning

Update on Octavius and Othello (since partially renamed to Gilbert and Othello): Picked them up yesterday, and they immediately found a safe hiding place in the corner, much to my daughter's dismay. She was in tears because they "don't like me." Now they're running riot around the house as if they own the place.
maqroll
Reggie update- He's an amazing cat, full of intelligence and humor (sorry Tony). He's also very demanding of attention, so I went back to the shelter to adopt him a friend, who I've had about a month now, but can't decide on a name. Any suggestions? Olaf sounds good...Bosko? Nah, I couldn't do that to him..He's a 2 y/o who's been through some trauma. He's just started to relax when I walk around in my shoes. I think someone may have kicked him a few times, so sad. His true nature is just a melting sweetheart, but he's still struggling a bit with fear and trust. But I think in a year's time, he's gonna be a really confidant, happy cat. Pic on the way, he's a beaut.
