rjw63
David Haye - no chance. Not until he fights the Kilts. Don't forget The Sporrans
Shillzz
Agree with McDowell. Been a poor year really. He's done more this year than most golfers do in their entire career! I know Westwood is No.1, but McDowell has been more consistant. Yup, thoroughly agree. I'm not a big golf-head, but he does seem the stand out candidate to me. Wainy316
I'm sure the BBC were hoping for a list full of England's glorious world cup heroes.
Rainer
Lee Westwood from that list. Looks the poorest line up in years.

bickster Posted November 30, 2010 Moderator Share Posted November 30, 2010 For me it'd have to be Swanny or McDowell but It'll probably be Westwood seeing as he's the world's No 1 ranked golfer (no mean achievement) Oh I hate golf as well I know Westwood has become world No.1, but McDowell has achieved more this year. Westwood is still yet to win a major. I agree, thought I'd made that clear but probably not. but slight revision Forgot about Cav tbh, so it should be either Cav, McDowell or Swanny But it'll be Westwood because he's got a cheeky smile (and he's the worlds number one in his sport)
mjmooney Posted November 30, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted November 30, 2010 Ennis. Or anybody except a **** darts player. May as well have the British dominos champ in there.
Gingerlad
Harry Redknapp not up there? Surely some mistake.
Stevo985 Posted November 30, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted November 30, 2010 McDowell. Shouldn't be Haye, he's done nothign this year. Wasn't his title win last year? This year he's just defended it twice aginst poor opposition. Cricket and Darts aren't sports so it shouldn't be them
snowychap
How can it be anyone but Tony Mccoy? Indeed. Should definitely be AP, in my view, though I'd give hon mentions to both McDowell and Westwood. AP ought to get some extra recognition outside of the horse racing world for being utterly phenomenal. Edit: He is currently marginally odds on - the book here.
jon_c
After the Giggs debacle, I think it should be given to Audley Harrison.
