Shillzz
Someone has just tweeted that Delph is on the Bench, that can't be true can it? And Wedge, the Sidwell injury is an old one, its just been decided its time for him to have the operation he's been needing for a while. IF it was true, that would be the best piece of news since Young signed his new de... oh wait. Cant see it being true, you're talking recovering from injury 2/3 months ahead of schedule. AVFC-Prideofbrum
Yeah, that'd be a real strange one, can't see that being true. There would of been news on it from the OS. I think it'll be 3-2 or something like that.
OutByEaster? Posted November 9, 2010 Moderator Share Posted November 9, 2010 I'd be delighted if it were true. It'd be great to have him on the bench. I'd be worried if he was being rushed back due to our injuries. I'm not sure it'll happen.
Spl1304
Surely if Sidwell's is an old one the club wouldnt choose to operate in the middle of an injury crisis, id have thought they'd put it off for a month which by that time Stan would be back and Delph being eased back. Any news on Reo Coker?
Cracker1234
If Sidwell is being sold, they couldn't sell him being injured, so they do the op now, he is fit in January then can be sold with a full bill of health.
markavfc40
Anyone know what the attendance is likely to be? I can see it being no more than 34k especially given how shite we were in our last home game.
Spl1304
Hopefully the late ticket deals can push attendance up to about 36k.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
If we win by a decent scoreline, there is a great chance of moving into the top 8, possibly top 6.
chappy
I'm expecting lots of goals from both sides in this one. Think we will edge it. I want Ireland to start, would seriously consider droppping Young to the bench after his woeful performance at Fulham but it would be a very risky piece of man management. smetrov
Newsnow are reporting that Carew - has had a miraculous recovery and that Gabby may be on the bench for this game.
DiegoD
The Octupus (google "Blackpool Octupus") claims we'll loose the match (the away team will win!) Olly (the octupus) has got every result right so far. We may as well not show up if a psychic octopus is saying we'll lose
Razor
We simply have to win this one if we are to challenge for europe this season, im going for a comfortable 3-0 or 3-1 to take us level with Spurs.

darrenm
I'm on the last row of the North with 3 non-believers tonight. Do you reckon I'll be able to find 4 better seat nearer the front once we're in?
dudevillaisnice
i hope we win, that octopus is a word removed for suggesting we'll loose, lets prove the octopus wrong and win the match!
NeilS
A must win game, we need the win to boost our confidence and points levels before a tough run of matches. However, I think it'll be a close game with the odd goal in it.
Chindie Posted November 10, 2010 VT Supporter Share Posted November 10, 2010 First game in a long while for me tonight. I'll be amazed if we win convincingly.
darrenm
I think we will romp home. We've been playing well for a while and being wasteful with chances so we should get enough tonight to start putting them away. My team: Friedel Young Collins Dunne Warnock Clark Albrighton Downing Young Bannan Delfouneso
Rodders
I agree - I think we'll win quite handily tonight set us up for a decent point at the weekend against United. 4-0. Delf x 2, Young A, Bannan on the scoresheet

Any news on Reo Coker? I have no facts to base this on, but I would have thought that it would ultimately be Sidwell's choice for when he has the op. I reckon the club would try to influence or ask him to delay it, but if the pain increases, it should be the individuals decision to play on or not. I think Reo was confirmed to be out for 2 or 3 weeks.
