knoppy1987
2-1 Aston Villa. I'd go similar as OBE with the lineup given whats available although for future games I'd like to see Cuellar given an opportunity at CB. Masso
If Hibbert and Osman start on the right theres a fair chance you'll beat us. Hibbert is just useless, he's been our right back for 9 years i think, if he wasnt scouse he'd have been **** off to Scunthorpe along time ago. I really hope you play Young in the middle and not out wide as he'll tear Tony a new arsehole as usual. I imagine Warnock will have one of the easiest games of his career with Osman on the right too, he just falls over and moans consistently whilst offering nothing to our game. Christ knows what Coleman has to do to get a start in the league for us.
avfcgoodie
Despite what our Everton friends here have said, im predicting a 4-0 defeat
matrim
If Gabby is fit I can see us winning but otherwise I'd say a draw or close loss

He looked loads better with Pienaar ahead of him. We all know Osman is not a winger but some of the stick he takes is unreal. He's a really good squad player and been a great servant to us, plus in the middle he puts in some quality performances, e.g. Utd last year. Coleman is still raw and learning, sure he is very good going forward but he nearly cost us a goal on Wednesday by trying to be to clever and lost the ball on the edge of our own box. His time will come but there is certain games when you need experience, this is one of them. In my opinion, anyway..
CarewsEyebrowDesigner
They are going to rape us, my phone is off already and contact from my da will be limited for a few weeks until they get stuffed by someone else. I always hate the games against these scousers!

RunRickyRun
You need to be well organised to beat Everton and, at the moment, organisation is our biggest problem.
SafeHands
Freidal Young Cuellar Dunne Warnock Albrighton Reo Coker Petrov Young Ireland Gabby With this side we may have a chance against Everton. I'd also give the Captains armband to Dunne.
Brumstopdogs
The best I can see is a 3-1 defeat for us. Big Mac hasn't got a clue and if he plays Ireland and Petrov in a 2 man midfield we will be over-run. What a shambles.
theboyangel
The way the last 7 days have gone, anything other than a loss is a bonus!!!! I can see us getting tonked too....
Strog
If Gabby is fit and plays, we could get something out of this - but if he doesn't I fear the worst as we will concede..
Mantis
I'm very conflicted about this game. Of course I want us to win but at the same time I really don't want K Mac to get the job.

Dont disagree, but the amount of space Hibbert was given by Wolves we should have scored many more, if Coleman had of been playing we'd have won comfortably imo, he may still be raw defensively, but we simply have no threat from our right, something he would provide in abundance. Osman is a great player in the middle no doubt, but he's not gonna get a look in much anymore with the quality we have. Any idea of the attendance tomorrow? We've sold out our end. smokingzen
--------------------------Friedel------------------------ Cuellar--------Collins---------Dunne-------Warnock ------------------------Reo Coker----------------------- ----------------Ireland--------------Petrov-------------- -------------Heskey---------------------Young--------- -----------------------Agbonlahor----------------------- Personally I would go with the above, defence has been our weakness over the last few games and we need to address that so go with our strongest tried and tested defence. I would go for Cuellar over Young for the extra height in the box and because of the success of it last year, despite my own reservations about it last year. With Milner gone we also need a midfield engine and the best player we have for that is Reo Coker but playing as a defensive midfielder, protecting the defence, breaking up play in midfield and doing simple passes to the likes of Petrov and Ireland. I would then have Young as a free roaming player behind Heskey and Agbonlahor, but with Heskey sat back a little linking up play. I think with that system we would have a little bit of everything, solid in defence, a bit of mettle and creativity in midfield, wing play, speed and power. The main thing is we need to be strong defensively again, and it would be good to have Dunne, Colins and Cuellar back in the team together. We also need to be strong all over, a midfield without Reo Coker, I.e., any combination of Petrov, Young, Ireland, Albrighton, Downing, Sidwell, is just too lightweight in my opinion. Which is why I would have both Albrighton and Downing on the bench and get Heskey on to help out with midfield duties. He doesn't score goals, but he can be the first line of defence for the midfield and the link up man between midfield and attack. Personally I've always felt it's better starting with Heskey to soften up the opponents a bit and then bring on someone like Carew to grab you a goal, than the other way around. Contrary to some of the doom mongers on here, if we play our strongest defence and Reo Coker in midfield I think we can keep a clean sheet and win it 2-0. Gabby and Ireland to score. A win today and everything would look slightly rosier going in to the international break awaiting our new manager.
