HeyAnty
Not so sure he will start the next game. Work horse that he is, might have been the reason we looked an attacking force today.
villalad21
We're better off without him. Use this man as a CB backup, he's a waste of space on the wing.
rodders0223
Would have fancied him to bag today, shame but he can't keep picking up these stupid bookings.
AVTuco Posted December 7, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted December 7, 2014 I think he would've scored today. He's a lucky guy and today the stars were aligned. With Westwood and Cleverly (maybe) out, he will start the next game for sure.
Dirtysanchez
Best perdormance of the season without him, I wouldn't be too quick to bring Andy back in.
PaulC
It was the worst team in the league we played yesterday to be fair.,I think Weimann would have done well yesterday.
Zatman
think was best to take him out of the firing line for a game if honest. guy must have nothing left with all the running he has done this season. will be needed over christmas

Dr_Pangloss
Hopefully got the right thread this time! Weimann couldn't trap a wet bag of cement. Useless.
villalad21
Weimann is a striker, playing him behind Benteke would be interesting. As a winger though, he is useless.
Dr_Pangloss
His appalling touch has nothing to do with his position, he's just a poor technical player.
Farlz
He's just crap. He's not quick, can't dribble with the ball, can't hold up the ball, seems to have lost his finishing ability, can barely pick out a pass. I'm just really not a fan of his any more.
kurtsimonw
His appalling touch has nothing to do with his position, he's just a poor technical player. Which is more reason to play him up top, which he will often not need a touch, just a shot.
Dr_Pangloss
Errmmm I dunno about that. To be a good forward you need a good first touch, not feet made out of lead.
DCJonah
Hopefully he picks up another 5 bookings quickly. He is an awful football player.

Yea, if you're a lone striker i agree. Playing him behind Benteke though would be interesting.
PaulC
Can't judge him on the few minutes he played today. I think he should have started ahead of Nzog!
poitier
I think Weimann and Nzogbia are the weakest of our regular starters, shame that we have to have one or the other.
ROTTERDAM1982
Someone on here said last week that you could argue that PL has done his job.Removed the big earners, stripped it right down, and put the framework of a reasonable team , with minimal investment. I think that is partially true, but for us to move up we need to replace Weimann, N'Zog, Gabby. We offered nothing going forward today, and despite having a man sent off, wasn't too uncomfortable defensively, but we haven't got much options in forward positions.Weimann tries, and works hard, and will get you the odd goal, but hes not quality, nor is Gabby, and nor is N'Zog, and the jury is out on Cleverley. If we want to challenge for Europe then we need at least 2 new attacking players, and thats before we sell CB. I got shot down on here 2 years ago by suggesting we need to replace Gabby and Weimann, i think its fairly obvious now.
