AVTuco Posted January 18, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted January 18, 2014 I agree again Danishlad. He just gets so much stick currently here that it's unreal, and unfair.

AVTuco Posted January 18, 2014 VT Supporter Share Posted January 18, 2014 (edited) Sprinted 100 yards to score his goal according to MOTD Yeah, this too. It was a very good run, and then surprised Gerrard on the line. Hard work well done. Edited January 18, 2014 by AVTuco
Jarpie
Weimann was very good today, I hope he turns this into good run in front of goal.

VillaChris
With respect he's been very poor this season so the stick is deserved. Today was what he was doing last season so hopefully this will spark him off.

Nabby
Probably no coincidence that Benteke playing better has led to Weimann playing better.
PaulC
Probably no coincidence that Benteke playing better has led to Weimann playing better. True and when we get the three of them playing well like today then we have a real threat up front.

Spoony
He deserved the stick he got re his performances but doesn't deserve the accusations that he's never been good etc. He clearly has the quality but he's been woeful this season. I agree with the above poster that it isn't a coincidence that he's playing better when Benteke is playing better.
Avfc96
Weimann was superb today, the way he bullied Gerrard in the first half was incredible. Deserved his goal aswell, the front three look like they are starting to click again.
VillaGoMarching
Has just been a confidence issue for Weimann and Benteke. Both looked a lot like those players from last season today, a real threat and working hard.
chappy
I'm harsh on him because I like and rate him so highly. Hope todays goal kicks him on confidence wise (we aid the same after Man City)

SeanO
Will the real Andreas Weimann please stand up? He's been so poor for soooooo long that I honestly thought he had already peeked. He now has to keep working so that standard is his normal game and not just away to Liverpool.
theboyangel
It's no surprise that now Benteke is showing his true self once again and Gabby also playing well, Weimann's game also improves. They are a good striking unit and when they hit form, they're very tidy and have the capacity to be devastating. He looked visibly relieved when interviewed on AVTV post match - hopefully the weight off his shoulders will result in more performances like yesterday
Big_John_10
I actually didn't think he did play that well yesterday. Can't fault effort and work off the ball but I thought again he was pretty poor when he had the ball.
thunderball
Almost felt like last season at times yesterday (February onwards), but still some way to go. Weimann seems to have remembered how to play again, he will hopefully get better each game with renewed confidence.
