Cracker1234
One or two tweets on Twitter saying he could be on the bench today, we'll soon see.
Hanky
SSN reckoned him and Petrov could well be. I wasn't aware Petrov was anywhere near close to being back?
AVFC-Prideofbrum
Said he started light training last week or this week? I sort of thought he'd be back on the bench probably for Chelsea game or something, not this early. With Coker back properly, Delph hopefully on the bench, get 30 minutes maybe today. CarewsEyebrowDesigner
Good to hear it, probably get a few minutes today, can't expect him to get something like half and hour though as he hasn't been back long enough.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
He will be fit. Not match fit but he'd of been running for a while now and plenty of gym work. I'd guess he could finish 25-30 minutes. Although yeah, probably better around 15-20 minutes depending on the game situation.

alf_stewart
One decent 'Hollywood' ball, otherwise well out of his depth.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
Wrong thread. He looks rusty. This game was too early for him.
PompeyVillan
He was asked to do too much, too soon, again. I hope his confidence doesn't take a battering, again.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
Yep, did seem a little like last year at Wigan where we put him in too early. Took a risk and it didn't pay off. Wait till the cup game and give him that game.
Humanoid
He was asked to do too much, too soon, again. I hope his confidence doesn't take a battering, again. Yes, spot on. I just wonder though, would this be something that was patently obvious to manager who knew what they were doing? Maybe it's GH idea of getting players to "adapt" to his way
Davies4England
Any midfielder would struggle when the movement was so static up front. All he could do was pass to feet. Nathan had the odd run behind but Gabby played with his back to goal far too often.
Rob182
I actually thought he was decent. He was one of our only outlets of creative passing. Some of the through balls he played were very good also. I was disappointed that he was taken off, though I guess it could have been precautionary. Hanky
Out for so long of course he won't be up to standard. I thought he was ok but caught out a few times. If he was going to play he should have played with NRC.
theunderstudy
Wasn't too bad IMO.
ryanvilla_1994
Not too bad but looked rusty as you would after 8 months out
JasonBourne
The one positive for me in the game. Considering he hasn't played for a year he looked like a player with a BIG future.
Morley_crosses_to_Withe
He looks rusty. This game was too early for him. Agreed. He only started because Gavin McAllister is bent for him. It was a **** ridiculous decision! You don't give him his first game back against a team like Spurs after he's been out for eight months. It's not like he's a seasoned Premier League player either; it was only his fifth (?) PL start.
