Also it's a one way system. So as funny as your suggestion is, you'd end up just stuck in a queue you didn't need to be in.

I remember the video of an (iirc) older woman trying to leave a drive-thru queue by driving onto and over the grass margin and getting beached. Her car perfectly balancing on the chassis.

Got swollen glands in my neck for the past few days. Called the doctor at 10am to see if I can get an appointment. 920am tomorrow, face to face. Nice.

Booked a doc appointment on the day, asked for general blood tests as hadn't had a check up in over 10 years. Blood test done the next morning.

Day after got a text message in morning "please book an appointment to discuss blood tests". Almost pooped my pants, they only call you in if there is a major problem.

Text message contained a link to book appointment which i did for later the same day.

A few things cheered me up:

1) Easy to get doc appointment on the day.

2) No problem asking for blood tests - doc was happy to oblige.

3) Blood test appointment next morning - very efficient.

4) Follow-up appointment on same day through text message for results review.

5) And NO issues, automatically flagged for review because cholesterol was slightly above their target but nothing to worry about.

Phew!

There are two council guys outside wandering around the tree planted soft landscaping, one has a gigantic pair of salad tongs and a plastic bag, the other has a leaf blower.

Wind speed locally, 40mph.

The previous owner of my house is still paying to have my windows and conservatory cleaned once a quarter. It's been 8 years.

I believe after all that time this would be an offence under the 2006 fraud act, that replaced the old offence of obtaining goods and services by deception. You are aware that someone else is paying for this service that you are benefiting from and it's within your purview to stop it by telling them not to turn up.

I've told the cleaners a few times, and I've messaged the guy paying for it (checked my phone) 15 times (including every single time they came for the first 18 months), he's acknowledged it, says he forgot and he'll stop it. They keep coming. I've done my bit and have the evidence if he ever comes knocking for his money back. Not my problem!

One of the few positives about working back in the office is that I've had far more nights out recently. Just nice to get out in the pubs again, especially this time of the year. Sitting in a pub, with a nice ale and Xmas songs in the background. Perfect!

Being a blue nose his specialist subject of course being Aston Villa

His specialist subject that he chose in advance, was three Spider-Man films.

The questions weren’t about locations, or funding models, or who produced them, or where the CGI was generated. It was literally a list of questions of things that happened in the film. All the revision required, was to watch the films.

To his credit he did end up finishing over Dana.
