Popular Post Xela
When I'm off work, nothing better than a nice pint of ale in a country pub. I'll even try and make small talk with the barman about the drink = "quite hoppy this, isn't it?". They can see straight through me and know i'm a chancer. 1
Popular Post Follyfoot Posted September 26, 2023 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted September 26, 2023 I was just reading our local next door, online message thingy. One woman commented that she had just had her chimney swept and serviced by a lovely guy. Had to stick a Kenneth up which has amused me immensely

Now the Kenneth virus has broken out from VT quarantine, it will spread like a pandemic.

Before you know it they'll start making new Carry On films which might be the final nail in the coffin for civilisation.

Popular Post bickster Posted September 27, 2023 Moderator Popular Post Share Posted September 27, 2023 Just been shopping with the missus on the way home from work and bumped into an old mate, who I did see very briefly last week at a funeral. Turns out he lives a couple of streets away from me. That’s the second old mate I’ve bumped into in the last couple of weeks that now lives really close to me. It turns out that the neighbourhood is full of 80's Indie musicians I might be about to get a more active social life that doesn’t involve £20 in cabs before I’ve had a drink
Popular Post Follyfoot Posted September 29, 2023 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted September 29, 2023 (edited) It is Mrs Follyfoots birthday today. She hates moths, butterflies and all fluttery things. Inside her card I wound up several magic butterflies so when she opened the card they all flew out in all directions causing her so shreak, jump out of bed and wet herself a little bit, much to my amusement. Thankfully she is not a bad old stick and took it well. Can not stop giggling and wish I had recorded it Edited September 29, 2023 by Follyfoot 4
Rds1983 Posted September 29, 2023 VT Supporter Share Posted September 29, 2023 Looks like there's a chance the Sycamore Gap tree might(very slowly) regrow. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-tyne-66957589 "It's a very healthy tree, we can see that now, because of the condition of the stump, it may well regrow a coppice from the stump, and if we could nurture that then that might be one of the best outcomes, and then we keep the tree."
