How does that compare to owning a static? Would that be an affordable option instead? We had our own mobile home for years (70s-80s) in Portrane (North Co. Dublin). Just a field, not too many amenities, but right beside the beach. We used to spend all the summer holidays there (3 months) & most of the bank holidays & we loved it And yes, @bickster I do remember a lot of bingo...
Davkaus
I guess if you're stuck in a caravan park for a few days, it's best to get into bingo. It's either that or dogging.

Biggest rip off there is. It’s often cheaper to go to Orlando where it 100x better.

Popular Post Big Salad
Most people wouldn't air their dirty laundry as it were, but it helps me in actuality to talk about things that are bothering and/or going on with me to get some help and tips and to just simply feel better about a certain situation overall. Even though have only been a member on here for a bit over 8 months, I can tell that overall some genuinely decent folks on here and therefore what I am about to say I know will be taken for what it is and I can feel comfortable in saying it. One of my older brothers has been battling drug addiction and alcoholism for several years now and has treated our family poorly whenever he was high, needed a fix, etc. We even lost contact at times for months on end because we didn't know where he was at and had no idea how to contact him. All offers of help were never accepted and he would get angry if we even suggested he had a problem. My and the rest of my family were so worried we would get the call or find out some other way that he had overdosed or hurt someone, etc. With all that being said, he finally did breakdown and realize his life was going down a bad road and let us help him turn it around. Today marks one year that he has been clean/sober and we are going out to a local steakhouse here shorty to celebrate that. I have my brother back and hopefully we can get that connection back that we had when we were younger. Just want to say if anyone on here knows someone close to them who is dealing with addiction of any kind, never give up on them and always have faith that they will change for the better.
sharkyvilla
I'm on holiday in Scotland, it's actually half decent up here. Their diet is right up my street as well. I'm even half seriously thinking about cashing in my flat and moving up here.
colhint
This didn't make me smile I laughed my head off. Just watching the hundred, Surrey Notts. Reece Topley 6 foot 6 84 MPH bowling to Alex Hales. Straight in the nuts. Because he was so far back in his crease, he was close to stump mic. The uuurgh was so loud. He went down like a ton of bricks. I'm sure we have all been there. He was down a good few minutes. The players, umpires and crowd were sniggering. He finally got up and composed himself. Next ball exactly the same thing happened again. Straight down, same uuuurgh this time everyone was really laughing. 3

Genuine new angle on an age old “ouch” moment.
It's Your Round
Missus just came home from work to bring me some freeze gel, heat patches and Ibuprofen (for my bad back). Washed up, put some washing on and told the kids to look after me today, then disappeared off back to work. See, there are benefits to being married! Means I can spend my lunch break tucking into my leftover Naga curry from Saturday. Good times
El Zen
Former favourites of mine, Foo Fighters, doing a disco album called Hail Satin under the name The DeeGees. Musically, it’s of little to no value, but it kind of cheered me up anyway. Edited August 9, 2021 by El Zen

Dave Grohl trolling the Westboro Baptist Church while performing disco in the back of a moving truck will probably cheer you up too. 4 1

Popular Post Genie
Not sure why it made me laugh, but seeing everyone kicking off at the local garden centres fb page because they’ve stopped allowing dogs at the weekend. They say they are busy and often have to clean up after inconsiderate owners and just don’t have time at the weekend. Everyone losing their mind and boycotting the place Why on earth do you need to take your dog to the garden centre so badly anyway? You don’t take it to Asda or the petrol station. And even if you can’t live without it, there’s 5 other days. Crazy. 4

Disco with just the right amount of funk and the human body is basically powerless to resist. It's science. 3
