Stopped selling them for an hour in order to reprice and reprint the price list. Still sold out on day one, off plan, deposits banked before a spade went in the ground. Slither of land half way up a hill. It had previously been a porn film studio, but the internet had killed that business off. Might sneak back one day with some blue plaques: Clare Does Clifton was filmed here, 1998.

A'Villan
Went to get me a cheeky 2am pizza tonight from the shop 100meters up the road. Saw this youth looking quite pale and in his own zone and inquired if he might be able to arrange some marijuana. This kids face lit up like propane torch on steroids. "I was just thinking the same thing! *he giggles* "I was just about to call my dealer!" It didn't come through which is probably better for me, because despite having had only 3 hours sleep, I have a game tonight, and it's my first start of the season (3rd game in). I digress. He was such a jolly and pleasant young fella. Happy to help out a complete stranger. Kudos to him.

Where I'm based now you can hear some trains in the distance "bbrrrrrrrb bbbbpppp" in the mornings before 8am hits and every **** is off to work or school runs and the noise pollution starts... But actually living yards away from a passing track, what would it be like? Would your dining or kitchen window sound like it's about to cave in when an express comes flying past for instance? This is more of an issue in my former neck of the woods:
A'Villan
@AvfcRigo82 In Melbourne it can reduce the worth of your property. As does having a swimming pool in your backyard, just to add a completely random and possibly unnecessary fact in.

However, very handy for the commute to work. Fall out your door onto the train with your toast hanging out your mouth, coffee exiting your cup and scolding your hand and looking like a half dressed tramp. Boof.. you're off to work. HanoiVillan
People do genuinely live and work alongside the railway: I used to go drinking in a bar next to it quite often, and you would stand outside for a smoke on the track. Of course the trains go by incredibly slowly so there's no actual danger to it. It's quite magical to be on the trains though, especially if you're getting an overnight sleeper, and as you leave the city and settle into your bunk you can look out of the window into everyone's living room as you go past 1

VILLAMARV
Quote Circus tigers maul trainer to death in southern Italy Four tigers have mauled their trainer to death during a rehearsal at a circus in southern Italy. One tiger set upon Ettore Weber, 61, on Thursday evening in Triggiano, near Bari, before the other three joined in. They then played with his body in their cage until paramedics and circus staff intervened, local media report. He later died from his injuries. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-48886443 Another win

rjw63
Accidentally clicking on page one of the small heath thread, and seeing back in 2008 they got relegated on the last day and the knuckledraggers were destroying their own dump. Good times!
bickster Posted July 7, 2019 Moderator Share Posted July 7, 2019 I do hope my next door neighbours enjoyed my live industrial remixes of Smooth FM this afternoon as much as I did. We had Billy Joel's New York State of Mind (the Ancient Flymo Mix), some Bonnie Tyler tune got the Rickety Old Banging Strimmer Mix and something by Elton John got the Karcher K5 at Full Throttle on the Patio Total Rework. I'm unaware of the other remixes I did inbetween those but they were bound toi be great I really do hope they enjoyed this as much as I did interupting their sunbathing to their F***ing loud tasteless radio in the back garden, the absolute monstrous bellends. And they are trying to sell their house so I'm doing my bit to make the locality look nice so they can hardly complain Cheered me up no end though 1

maqroll
Took my bicycle out for a ride around the Back Cove and up to Eastern Promenade Park to watch the sailboats cruise around Casco Bay. Perfect summer day with low humidity and tons of sun. Admired a tanned young lady out for a run with a long pony tail that bounced left and right as she ran. **** fantastique.
