Popular Post mottaloo
Whilst out the front, trimming my lawn, my rather yummy mummy neighbour pops out to her car and says : "Ooh ! If I pop open my back door, will you do mine !?" I had so many witty/saucy quips bouncing around my head at that point.....but no, all i squeaked back (in a kevin and perry scared virgin way) was : "Er...hahaha yeah, ok...i love grass, cos its SO green !" I put it on this thread cos despite my crap reply, her offer on such a sunny day really did raise my erm...spirits and cheered me up ! Stevo985 Posted August 15, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted August 15, 2017 Is there anything less funny than when you're mowing your lawn or washing your car and a neighbour says "Can you do mine next?" ?

Normally I'd agree with you and i usually trot out the reply "yeah, give me £50 and I'll do it !" but this girl is something else. I usually go in to verbal wibble mode when i speak to her.

mjmooney Posted August 15, 2017 VT Supporter Share Posted August 15, 2017 Wasn't sure what thread to put this in, but this is as good as any. Amazing collection of old Birmingham TV news clips, essential viewing - some Villa content, but all fascinating social history. The piece about the sex shop is the closest thing to a Monty Python sketch, but is a genuine news item. Some real classics here. Link

This man knows. Absolutely spot on... same with when washing your car. Creates an awkwardness almost when your mind is tied up with the "no" and "fks sake not that quip again" which distracts you from a witty response, that when given you are almost worse off giving a pacifying pointless reply like "No thanks I'm knackered / this one took long enough." yeah thanks for backing me into a corner you fvcko! When what you're really thinking is hell yeah, check out my wheels. Dammit I'm gonna go wash me truck. It's dirtier than Ron Jeremy's wet dreams 'tis.
Midfielder
anyway sorry. I came here to post. Vulgarity alert don't read If daily mail type ok what cheers up. I'm a simple man but ok here goes. When you go in to "log off" you know, drop the kids offf at the pool, and Jesus Christ it's like new street station , intercity 125 flies through and God damn, all logs out and wiped up in the time it takes to take a piss, especially when at work and no one knows (except the poor fker who uses the bogs after). Yeah so ummm yeah a rapid pit stop. No need for newspaper or not even enough time to log into VT type dump sorry edit - yeah actually it's like say when the kids are off school and you get a fly -through easy commute that's well quicker. And you get to destination and think "yeahhhhhhhh". I'm gonna shut the f up now Edited August 17, 2017 by Midfielder

Popular Post trekka Posted August 18, 2017 VT Supporter Popular Post Share Posted August 18, 2017 (edited) Being in the fortunate position of living on the South Coast. I was up along Old Portsmouth seafront when the huge HMS Queen Elizabeth arrived for the first time to her home port. I was up at 4:30AM to get there before the crowds amassed and I'm so glad I did! My pics (I make no apology for the quality of these, that was me switching between a rubbish camera and a rubbish phone!) (that's google photo hosted images in case anyone is wondering about the link...) Oh, and not my pics but these really do show the sheer scale of the thing. That's not a model village! I've lost count of the times I've watched goodfellas, scarface and casino. Pure class.
Xela
De Niro, as great as he is, has weakened his stock over the years by appearing in quite a lot of poor movies. His earlier stuff though is amazing.
