My knowledge on this topic is now completely exhausted :P

One of them is incredibly rare and it was last the solstice about 300 years ago, but I can't remember if it was the 20th or the 23rd.

As the 23rd is further away from the 21st than the 20th is, it was probably the 23rd. 21st > 22nd > 20th > 23rd. All more likely than the 12th!

What's mental about it if you don't mind me asking? Nightlife?

It's a very small city and there are a lot of places to go regarding your tastes and wanton desires. Strip clubs, rock clubs, indie clubs, ruin bars and apartment bars...they're all here. The women are incredible and won't lead you up the garden path.

Everyone is very friendly and sociable. Even the scary looking slavic bodybuilders will share a beer with you. Nearly everyone under the age of 30 speaks fairly good English too.

Cheers, however, we all know, us Brits define a destination on the price of a pint. So what we talking?

Sofia is now on the list for 2017 :)

Yep, was looking at Bucharest or Cluj, as they both fly from Brum, but Sofia now added to the mix.

On a similar note, Sunderland and Chelsea are letting Bradley Lowery (young Sunderland fan, who unfortunately has neuroblastoma) take penalties against Asmir Begovic tonight. He told his parents he wanted to score a goal for Sunderland, and they set this up for him. Wonderful gesture, they're going to make the young lad so happy.
