chrisp65
my slightly shabby around the edges garden - including the apple tree planted as a pip from a supermarket apple by one of the kids years ago stuck it in a plastic cup, it took, transplanted it to the garden and we get (incredibly bitter) apples! we've come inside and instantly the blackbirds are down and having a rummage for easy food

Popular Post Ingram85
Yesterday I went out with the future brother in law to go suit shopping for my wedding. After shopping he said he has to go to flavourz in Oldbury as he was meeting a lady to check out a venue for his lads birthday in a months time but won't have time to drop me off until afterwards so would I mind coming? So we go shopping, I find an Indian suit I love and we leave after an hour or so and he rings the lady to say he is on the way, she says can he wait half an hour as they have a party on that's just finished and need time to clean up. I say to him that "that is bloody rude, they should ring you to say they are running behind not you ringing them". He agrees. We get there and as we get out the car my future father in law pulls up in the car park. That's odd I thought, maybe he has come to give his son a second opinion on the venue. "Bob, has your dad come to give a second opinion on the venue"? I ask, " no, it's weird him turning up". That's odd I thought, maybe he has just come for some lunch or something ". (I am thick as ****). We go in, we go round to the side bit to meet the lady in the room, I guess they are still tidying up, so we just walk straight in and SURPRIIIIISSSSEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPPYYY BBBIIIRRRTTTHHHDDDDAAAAYYYY!!!!! I got covered in silly string so much until I look like Stephanie McMahon after a macho man rendezvous. It took me a good two minutes to realise what was going on and I spent the rest of the night putting all the pieces together. I never knew my other half was so devious. Best surprise I've ever had on any birthday ever and here I was being a miserable git about turning 30 and yet I didn't stop smiling all night. She is aware that revenge shall be swift, vengeful and fatal. Her brother is a dead man walking too So yeah, I'm 30 today but yesterday was the only time we could get both sides of the family together and even my mom and her fella behaved around my dad and his partner and it was lovely seeing both sides of the family finally meet properly. Even typing this now I can't believe I didn't get it when her dad pulled into the car park running behind everyone else who was waiting in the room and bobs lad had already had his birthday this year. Doh! A great day I'll never forget! Edited April 27, 2015 by Ingram85

Popular Post maqroll
The beauty and aura of Villa Park, compared to a cold, soulless bowl like the Etihad.
dAVe80
Unfortunately the traditional grounds are disappearing, and being replaced by big, plastic, soulless bowls. The ones that evolve, rather than being completely replaced, do tend to lose a little character. I am thankful that Villa Park has managed to maintain a unique look and feel over the years. Since I've supported the club, three sides of the ground have completely changed, and the lower North Stand terracing has been replaced with seating, however Villa Park still looks and feels like home.

Paddywhack
Yeah, it's a bit like Trigger's broom. It's not really the grand, old traditional stadium we claim it is, is it? Same location, but not the same stadium. But I love it by the way, hashtag just saying.

bickster Posted April 28, 2015 Moderator Share Posted April 28, 2015 There's a pub in Seaforth near the docks here in Liverpool called the Doric. Or it was… they've renamed it… THE COCK AND SEAMAN. The company who've just taken over the pub don't appear to realise what they've done
