Born-Not-Made
Hamstring injury apparently. As a side note, thought Baker looked good to start with but lost the plot a little positionally. Luckily our Centre Hero's appear to have found their form again.
SoccerHQ
Baker struggled quite a bit against N'zogbia. He's not a left back either is he, centre half for the reserves?
claret75
I thought Baker was solid tonight. Strong for a young player.
LockStockVilla
The lad really has such a nose for goal, while I imagine his future is certainly at centre back...would still love him to become a box to box midfielder
ryanvilla_1994
I think he might regret choosing Ireland over England...
stato
I'm glad he's chosen Ireland and I'm English! He's more likely to play regularly and get all the experience that comes with that. He also will be picked on form rather than the team he plays for, or who the media want picked.
Davies4England
Easily the best youth player we have for me, gonna be hard to keep a hold of him in a few years I reckon.
AVFC-Prideofbrum
Isn't Fergie already interested in him apparently? Better than Smalling anyway for me and he cost £10 million.
beasley14
He wont regret it England are a joke. Should have playeU-21's instead of soe of the otehr but hey thats English footy for ya. Will play more often for Ireland from a younger age which will be good for Villa.

England aren't a much better bet than Ireland at the moment and he will hopefully get more gametime in the Irish shirt (and I am English).
YankeeinMadrid
Clark is amazing. That is all.
YankeeinMadrid
Actually that's not all. How long do you think until the manager will have no choice but to make Clark the starting LCB?
AVFC-Prideofbrum
Needs a bit more experience and to be stronger and then no doubt he'll be starting. I reckon, 2012-2013, he'll become like the sort of first choice definite CB. Happy for him to be at left back though, getting game time, still learning and getting stronger. steve-67
The natural replacement for Dunney in the longer to medium term? Very classy player.
kurtsimonw
Yeah, I think by the time Dunne is on the way down, Clark will be capable of taking that reular starting spot. I didn't realise Collins was as young as he is either, thought he was about 30!
Pez1974
this guy is quality, and should play for us for the next 15 years
YankeeinMadrid
I'd say this should happen sooner, rather than later. I think it will.
LockStockVilla
It is so strange that whenever he plays I almost expect a goal from him...never ever seen a defender with such a nose for the goal before...at least not at this young age

I didn't realise Collins was as young as he is either, thought he was about 30! Up until the last couple of weeks Collins was playing more like a 40 year-old!! That said, watching the the bench today, Collins kicks every ball and looks very comitted to Villa. Good to see a snatch of TV film of him and GH sharing a joke in training during the week. C4rvillan
Clark is going to be some player for us. He is getting over his teething troubles now and looks class. Infact all the young 'uns look like they are getting over their teething troubles (obviously Baker is just starting his )
