Zatman
I loved Barry and thought he was a great player for Villa but it would be a step back to re-sign him. Thats not to say he wouldnt get in the team
Tomaszk
As if he'd come Be our best player if he did, just like he was when he left.
chillinvillan
Nope, no room for a porker.
Reality
I can't believe some people are contemplating Judas mark 2 coming back. No sense of pride lads?
maqroll
He's one year older, one year slower, and wouldn't want to come back anyways. Stephen Ireland, please.

JulieB
Nah... we had the best years out of him...& methinks Man City know this!
briny_ear
This has to be a wind-up, right?
The_Rev
He still has four years of a £100k+ a week contract to run. If he left for the money a year ago, why would he change his mind now?
barry'sboots
I would take him back for the right price/valuation but what would happen with his wages?? I would also only take him back if MON is prepared to play him in a 3 man CM as I don't think he has the energy to play in a 4-4-2, certainly not alongside our Stan! Amsterdam_Neil_D
Nah... we had the best years out of him...& methinks Man City know this! Spot on. Dunno if it's just me but he looks a bit crap these days to be honest. He is so slow it's joke, he looked good playing for us but terrible for anyone else, especially England lol. Be great if he gets pushed to the bench for the season and hardly plays.
roonst83
We're more likely to sign Barry Chuckle.
danceoftheshamen
No for me! I think Sir Alex was correct all those years ago when he said they guy has no pace! Germany rumbled him big time in the World cup game.
johnsonp
I think it is common practice for a club who would want a player off there books to cover part of his wages anyway, but why would anyone want back a player who went to such lengths to leave. If your girlfriend told you she fancied other guys, looked at everything that walked past then went and left you to bang someone else, then after a year came back.........would you? (shit analogy I know but it seemed right in my head)
Pelle
Not that a bad analogy me thinks, johnsonp. And no, I wouldn't.
stewiek2
Hmmm a 29 year old Barry back or £6m on 26 year old Flamini? Now let me see....

Big_John_10
I wouldn't have him back if he was playing superb and would easily be our best player. The fact he's player just ok and was made to look foolish in the world cup just adds to the fact I don't want him back
runetune
Nope - simply because I never believe a player can come back to a club a second time around and be successful. It rarely happens (same for most managers as well). Personally I believe we sold at the right time, and really don't need to buy him back!
